F4f ice isn’t good but it’s honestly more mid than bad. Yes you are slower than an F16, but you are still as fast as a viggen give or take, and you hold more speed. It also does win the dogfight against every other F4 besides the other F4F fighters since the German phantom has less internal fuel and better thrust to weight. Now it’s still a phantom don’t get me wrong, but at 13.0 it’s really just mid not terrible.

@@Morachie been playing the GR.1 to get the GR.4 recently, get 2-3 kill games if i try reason why i was in space is cause i was testing the range of the PGMs lol, been using them a lot recently, climb ot 5k meters, fire at the base that's most likely to stay, then dive, chaff any missile incoming, lets you place yourself in a favourable position for air to air than being in the meatgrinder at the bases

On the plus side, Su-22s in game doesn’t lose speed in flat turns with the wings folded out. Probably one of the only planes that actually accelerates in a full pull horizontal turn to the point where you can black out.

They upteired the german su-22 (um3k or u3mk) from 10.7, it was ok and kind of fun, to 11.3 which killed it. It only has 1x30mm and half the countermeasures of the su-22 m4, but now they're the same br.

Save yourself the money and grind the one in the TT, ive had some good luck trying to dogfight with this thing.. its actually pretty fun. I do notice the engine likes to overheat if you keep on the afterburner for too long (mostly on Spain), just to keep that in mind.

Honestly I fuck with the su17m4 so much. Granted, I play the soviet tech tree one, but since the rebalance this thing can be a monster in downtiers. 6 R60ms, 250+ countermeasures, and basically endless energy. Sure, you're slower than most things, and you sure as hell won't out pull most planes, but a lot of people at this br are very, very clueless and will just let you spiral upwards until they stall out and you murder them. Biggest thing holding it back is the guns, but on day one of the rebalance I still managed to get a 6 kill game in a down tier and im not very good at the game lol

This flight model looks like the new MiG-23, abysmal at turn fighting. I used to play the Russian SU17 still a year ago and no way it was that cumbersome. You know this is bad when a F4-S can run circles around you.

Sans the MiG-29G I believe and I got nothing on why Gaijin did what they did with that.* That said once they burn their energy they aren't too different from Mirages per what I have heard from fighter pilots. So what we are seeing at face value in game isn't too far removed from real life reports. As for * Gaijin also introduced the MiG-23 with the ability to pull 13Gs + when historically no model could pull more than 8.5Gs. I can only presume so that it would be competitive in game. Likewise the random unhistorical elevator compression passed around amongst fighters unevenly. Yet nearly every other type of aircraft gets historical elevator compression. Gaijin has been randomly applying closer to historic elevator compression randomly to select fighters since the F-16A was added. The F4U-4s and 7 were the first to receive said nerf.

The big Problem with these russian Strike Aircrafts is, that any Payload especially Bombs produce soo much additional Drag and the Engines feel kinda underpowered anyways, that you just dont accelerate and have problems even reaching Mach 0.95 Therefore you will be either too late for any Base or just easy prey. Also you face F4S and Mig23ML Spam and they eat you for breakfast.

The Germany suffers (at certain BRs) turns to be Germany Air suffers. It could be the worst Air Tech Tree specially at top tier and this update just highlight it. I can only feel it is focusing in WW2 era and of course, re-use East Germany (soviet) aircrafts. Yes, I know, the German Air Force was never the best, but any other nation is entirely better. Amazing trolling idea: use unguided rockets to waste their flares. if you shoot a missile right after, most of the time they don’t flare because they think it’s a unguided (at least in my experience) also don’t use this “tactic” on planes with RWR
