It's no different for teammates... they get a certain range away from you and the plane identification shortens. Crew level has nothing to do with that.

A good reason to run Manual Engine Control in response to you noting this plane overheats badly - you can manipulate your RPMs via your propeller pitch and open your radiators to max to avoid overheating your engine on full WEP during the initial climb. Gives you a massive performance boost if you want to avoid overheating in the first 5 minutes. You will get better performance without overheating by running suboptimal propeller pitch on WEP than you get running 100% prop pitch off of WEP, and this manner allows you to stay on WEP the whole climb. Getting good with MEC actually just negates the overheating issue on planes entirely. It took me quite some time to get used to manually adjusting my propeller pitch and supercharger gears myself while in combat, but it's second nature now. It's possible for it to become easy, and it makes planes way more fun to fly because you can push them harder.

They also recently added some post war Hungarian insignias too to the game, sadly u can only use the on Italian and german planes (despite they are on russian planes too by default), BUT they also restricted some old insignias to be freely used on any nation, witch i can't understand why (u can still place some insignias on anything + there are no restrictions for flags so WTF; also other decals contain insignias as well that u can pot on anything)! So I'm pissed off again!

Stock to spaded, I ended up with 33 kills to 5 deaths in this thing, done in only 10 battles. It was honestly a great deal more fun and effective than I was imagining it would be. I stuck with the three 20mm cannons, and it saw me through very easily. Did a similar thing with the 37mm, because I forgot to switch it back after unlocking the modification. Spent the entire battle trying to get long-range snipes, and I nailed one bomber and two fighters with it, which was extremely satisfying. Fantastic start to a sub-tree I'm still very much enjoying.

@@ODST_Parker Fair. The worst Yaks up to this point, relevant to opposition, are the 3.7 and 4.0 Yak-9s that aren't the 9M. Truth be told they are the worst Yak props relative to opposition. The 9P experience is way better than those. The 9UT is even better than those so long as you aren't facing anything 6.3+. against 6.3+ the 9UT is arguably a worse experience. The 9P and 9UT likely suffer from a historical bad reputation when they had bad FMs. Once upon a time they were the worst Yak props to fly because they just weren't that competitive. That has changed and yet they still seemingly have a bad reputation. Don't get me wrong. The 9UT isn't anywhere near as strong as lower BR Yaks. It is slightly above average performance wise for it's BR. In comparison the 3.7 and 4.0 Yak-9s (again excluding the 9M) are slightly below average. You got to know what you are doing to really do consistently well in the 9UT as it doesn't have any real strength that can save it single-handedly.

Insanely strong flaps? Around 4:35 According to the wiki, it rips at 280kmh, and it ONLY has landing flaps too. They drop super quick tho, and close somewhat quickly too. I'm not a good player and in my experience it's not very good, at least for the average

What Defyn meant by insanely strong is that the boost they give is higher proportionally relative to the flaps of most other props. True or not you don't want to actually use them that often. Landing flaps on everything use up way more energy relative to turn rate boost to make them good to use in general. They are specific case use only.
