Shane also looked at Snake, Joey & Wheels as The "Cool Kids" at Degrassi. He would have been shocked if he knew what they went through. Prison, nearly losing their home, a stepchild that they raise as their own who is bipolar, an off again and on again relationship. Shane must have been heartbroken when he saw Spike moved on without him.

Nah I felt bad for him bc of his “friend” that influenced him to do acid which led him to jump/fall off a bridge” but as for spike it’s definitely his fault for the most part that she got pregnant not to mention he just walked away and left her at first when she told him she was pregnant smh he definitely wasn’t a decent guy 😭😭😭 but no he didn’t deserve all this

Spike should have said "I had enough on my plate taking care of you, he hardly did anything in comparison, his parents treated me like I was some tramp who got their boy in trouble!" Snake could have said "Shane loved you and he wanted to raise you himself but his folks wouldn't let him, he even held you in his arms during Xmas week at school, he really wanted to do right by you but he was under so much pressure, the kids weren't allowed to talk to him, girls weren't allowed to date him and his parents were deeply religious."

Bill Parrott got into a conflict apparently with the producers. He wanted Shane to recover and help more with Emma. They disagreed and he got let go. Also Bill Parrott and Miriam McDonald both work in Real Estate.

i've always really loved this episode but it hits a lot harder knowing the backstory. i don't like spike, and watching DJH and DH after having seen TNG about five dozen times (lol) made me dislike her even more. shane deserved so much better.
