Great video and thank you ... but I do think you ought to give this more prominence in the maintenance sections of your manuals. My eleven year old Brera was struggling and I was on the point of renewing it. But following this process, which I was unaware of (and degreasing it for the first time ever ... !!), it is now working as good as new. Brilliant!

Brilliant, I looked up because I couldn't find local maintenance for coffee machine. Delighted now, just need to learn how to rescale do you have rescale video?

Hello. I have the Besana(brand new to super auto machines). Would you please do a video how we are supposed to do the degreasing for that model?

We could always give you advice on Zoom. Visit us on Zoom by going to www.gaggiadirect.com/meet-us-live.html during week days between 10am and 4 pm.

It can be done through the Test mode.

this is great but can you show how to do it with a Gaggia Aninma where there is no preground set up and opening at top??

There is a pre ground coffee setting (hit aroma strength until you see the 'spoon' icon). The bypass chute is on the top of the Anima.

Wouldn't you have to rinse the pre-ground coffee chamber also, as that's where you put the degreasing tablets?

I was going through all the videos related to the Brera machine and ran into the degreasing video and noticed your question. Technically speaking there is no pre ground chamber. You can confirm this yourself. Look through the hole of the pre ground opening on top. You will see a side hole inside coming from the bean grinder on the left side that empties the ground coffee into the brew compartment. Neither the ground coffee nor the pre ground coffee have a chamber. They both directly empty into the Brew chamber, a sort of cylindrical space where a cylinder like plunger with multiple holes steams and compresses the grounds to extract the Expresso.
