14:54 Exactly. His guess is right. The building in center of the photo is actually not KDDI building. It's Tokyo government office. Probably the twitterer did mistake to say name of the building. The twitterer can't see KDDI building from there. www.google.co.jp/maps/place/Oedo+Line+E27/@35.6895495,139.6979216,19z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x60188d451a2518cd:0x7eff14b303af6bd3!8m2!3d35.6894825!4d139.6986394?hl=ja&authuser=0

George, I’ve been watching your videos for years. One day, all these videos will receive millions of views from Japanese learners all over the country. I’m sure of it. Still the best Japanese learning content out there. Period. I convinced my national school system to order all your books. I don’t regret it.

This is from the Wikipedia entry on "wicket": (Britain) A service window, as in a bank or train station, where a customer conducts transactions with a teller; a ticket barrier at a rail station, box office at a cinema, etc. Here is the link: en.wiktionary.org/wiki/wicket

I’m Japanese. 15:37 This sentence sounds a little bit weird for me. I think you should use “突き当たり“ as a verb and say ”うわああ絶望に突き当たった” But was the sentence really written by a Japanese? It’s not a common expression we use… Sorry for my bad English…

@japanesefromzero
@japanesefromzero 4 жыл бұрын
You are right that JR Rail Pass isn’t designed for short trips. You will save massive amounts of money if you use the bullet train. The return on investment is high if you travel between major cities. You are also 100% right about Suica if you aren’t traveling on the bullet train. JR Rail Pass is a special discount pass only for people not loving in Japan. Most Japanese people are surprised and envious of how cheap it makes travel. And most don’t know about it. It actually can only be purchased through travel agencies outside of Japan. So you must purchase it before you go, or purchase it abroad and have the voucher mailed to you in Japan. It can’t be used unless your passport is stamped with the 90 day entry permit.
