REALLY appreciate this tutorial and revelation about Omniscope. Also, you've convinced me to take the plunge and get the Mini Panel. Question, if I may? It seems to me, as an "intermediate-skilled" colorist, whilst the choice of grading monitor should be above a certain, common sense level - like an iMac or decent BenQ etc, the real MEAT of the skillset lies in the correct and knowledgeable use of scopes, rather than relying on one's eyes and monitor calibration - especially as we have zero control over the final audience's viewing devices, right? I know that if you're grading with the client in the room, they need to be happy with what they're seeing on an external TV of decent quality, but for YOU, to do your job right, it's much more about what you're showing in this tutorial, than it is about spending $40,000 on a pro color monitor. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my hypothesis. Obviously if one can afford both, then it's a moot question, but that's not most people. Many thanks and keep 'em coming please!

Understanding your scopes is very important to your work and if you do not then you can make some fairly grave errors. However a poorly calibrated monitor can add some very unwanted variables into your workflow as well. Specifically in gamma shift and contrast that is harder to see on scopes alone.. But these are two different things. Having correctly setup hardware, sound and correctly setup project are one thing. Understanding how to grade and what tools work and help you do that such as scopes are another.. so both are very important and neither should be overlooked

u can do this without this plugin... just with the color warper

Color warper can indeed be used to adjust color temperature, and I will be doing a video on using the color temp page of the warper for more difficult coorections where multiple light sources with different +/- magenta are used and how to correct it. Mostly this video was to show how using good scopes can help make finding your selected values easier.. Color temp or anything else!

Dick move not putting in your title that this video is all about a paid plugin, I was actually really looking forward to learning from your experience too, but you need to be upfront if your video isn't going to be about the actual tools within Resolve
