Will this still work if the peltier module is the same size as the heat sink and fan? The fan is working for me with the batteries, however, I don't know if the peltier module is working or not and no water droplets can be seen even after fifteen minutes of running the device. Troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

A few tips to make it more efficient: Much larger heat sink and fans that flows perpendicular to the element, not this undersized one that blows the hot air onto the cold side. With an efficient cooler you will almost get frost on the cold side even on 20C+

I'm wondering if it's really a deep humidification process or it's just action at the peltier... I mean I guess that's exactly what is that creates humanity on the plate the water has to be coming from somewhere right? The reason I ask is I've been looking at alternatives to Jessica based air conditioning systems and I was thinking that using a peltier fan system could be hooked up at the position where you want the desiccant to be heated up and the water for the swamp cooler part cool down but I don't know if this is the most efficient way of doing it or not... I'm still arguing with my wife about whether or not Dustin is considered sitting water or not because a mosquito is being a problem 😋

Do dehumifers kill mold already in a bedroom or do they just stop new mold appearing also is salt effective and ok to use in dehumifers when Crystal's have run out I wanna save money and not have to keep buying more dehumifers

1- Why didn't you cut the cap instead of the bottom? 2- Why did you not use a passive CPU fin on the cool end? 3- Why do you use this unit in an enclosed space, where no airflow is present?

I never thought of replying again. But, this guy atleast showed a prototype. Let me answer your questions 1) it was easier for him.. wait. Please google these terms before continuing - dehumidifier, air conditioner, difference Between dehumidifier and air-conditioner, humidity, relative humidity... Okay.. it was easier for him to show the water collected inside, rather than removing the entire module. 2) and 3) i don't have much to say. If you have used google to find the answers. You should know by now. one thing you may not understand after googling is, see the difference in these 2 scenarios. temp - 30 Celsius. Humidity 75%. We feel like we are inside a pressure cooker. Temp 40 Celsius, humidity 25%. You won't even sweat a little in this condition.

When I use 12v 2amp adapter , adapter was blinking ....can you suggest an adapter which should not blink
@atalakeanumonarshi129
@atalakeanumonarshi129 4 жыл бұрын
Man ! Don't use 2 amp adapter ! The adapter will blow up. The peltier itself draws 6,4 A ( 6400 mA. ) You need at least 8 A power supply or just use one of those bulky 12 A power supply for security camera or LED light. This channel has too much mistake. In his other video about dehumidifier as well has even More design flaw than this...

Another Design Flaw of this channel ! You cant just mix any random parts and electronics and say ive created something, there are beginners who will go and do the same and destroy something . Peltier Plates are so inefficient for cooling, they use massive power with very bad results. The module you are using is 92Watts (as you said) divide it on 12v that will be 7.6 Amps ! you better get an AC with way less power consumption . BTW Peltier plate are also dengerous, they use high currnet and get very hot.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Dehumidifier does not need tech, does not need power. Lump charcoal does it. Rock salt does it. Silica as in some cat litter does it.

@ayushagnihotri8600
@ayushagnihotri8600 5 жыл бұрын
@landon L. Dumbass, an ideal solution would be to stick the heatsiink outside the window, as done in all Air conditioners, as peltiers generate lot of heat and are highly inefficient compared to compressor, you understand shit, even if it dosent warm the room it dosent coot it either, as heat generated will always be more that cooling, this is the reason why opening fridge door wont cool your room. I bet you smart ass tried that also.
@shawnsg
@shawnsg 3 жыл бұрын
Lol no. It moves heat from one side to the other with not a lot being created from the current being passed through. So it's not gonna warm the room.

+Luis Eduardo Carrión heat sink is hot side of peltier.fan blows up side & aluminium sheet is on cold side
@InventPeace1
@InventPeace1 6 жыл бұрын
It should be on the hot side, so if its not, just reverse the polarity of the wires to get the hot/cold sides to reverse. The general idea is to keep the whole peltier module cool/cold as possible, since the hot side will generate heat, thats the side most critical to cool, that way the cool side will can go colder still.

@atalakeanumonarshi129
@atalakeanumonarshi129 4 жыл бұрын
@@technoreview85 this design could be improved as well. You could use another heatsink instead of using alumunium plate on the cold side. You could squeeze out more juice out of it this way. You can also put some fan to suck more air into the heatsink. And DON'T USE 2 A POWER SUPPLY ! Some people use one of those 2 A power supply / power brick. It'll blow up. The peltier needs at least 7 A for it to work correctly ( 5A is a little bit too low. ) So at least get a 8 A power supply or even better just buy those bulky 8 or 12 A power supply used for security camera and LED strip. You could try to search the amp rating by just typing the peltier type ( 12706 in this build. )
