Me too. The show went to crap really quickly after the 2 left, especially Stephanie . I hated Ridge by that stage anyway so I couldn’t stand watching him even if it was Ronn Moss. I was just a bit shitty that Stephanie ended up dying in Brooke’s arms instead of Taylor’s seeing as they were best friends.

I have to mention Marla Adams. When I first saw her on Y and R in 1983 I thought she was absolutely beautiful. And through all the years I do not believe she had any plastic surgery, or if she did it had to have been slight and very very well done. I could be wrong, but for me anyway she is an example of aging so naturally when she made her occasional very dignified and classy appearances on the show in the 1990s and 2000s. And when she returned in 2017 for her last 3 years what you saw was a real person with a REAL face. And what a healthy example for all of us, male and female. I do not want to say anything disrespectful about Hunter Tylo but it is difficult not to mention something with the comparison. The flashbacks shown here reminds one how naturally stunning she was and why she had been such a fan favorite. If she had just let nature take its course more. As for these scenes, both SF and HT were wonderful actresses in both the flashback past and "present".

This was more meaningful than her time with Brooke, no matter what Brad Bell wants us to think. Taylor was always her ally, her favorite. Even more so than Caroline. Thomas, Steffy, and Phoebe were her favorite grandchildren. These women were IT and Steffy carries the torch!

I whole-heartedly agree with you. It really irks me that Bell Jr. is trying to erase the history of Stephanie and Taylor's close bond from the viewers' memory. Making Stephanie die in Brooke's arms was also completely ludicrous when you think about everything that skank did to her family. And now the writers are trying to turn her into "Stephanie 2.0" and push her into becoming the next matriarch, which is even more irritating to me (especially since Stephanie 2.0 already exists) because that woman is the absolute biggest hypocrite in the show's history and has nowhere near as much class as Stephanie, Taylor and Steffy combined. The amount of nasty things that Brooke gets away with saying and doing, as well as the way she judges others for their faults and looks down on them as if she's never made a mistake in her life is the exact reason why she is NOT matriarch material and never will be. If the writers were smart, they would pass the torch over to Steffy, but unfortunately, we shouldn't be surprised if we see a giant portrait of Brooke above the mantle after Eric dies.

But Stephanie & Brooke had a fuller, richer history. The only reason Taylor & her were even friends was because they bonded over their mutual disdain towards Brooke & they both schemed/manipulated & played games in order to keep Ridge shackled to Taylor & away from her. The fans refuse to see it.

Only difference is she never once felt bad about it or really owned up to her shit without making the same old excuses. And Stephanie’s bond with Taylor was SO much more than that, she actually saw her as her own daughter and bestfriend because unlike Brooke Taylor actually earned her respect. They had great genuine chemistry and the way the new writers completely diminished that was yet another thing that completely ruined the show and its legacy.
