One of the lectures that I have watched, that bestly kept my focus. When brain hears something that it does not understand, it starts to think about it, and forgets to listen. In this lecture information comes in right order and in right phase to be received and digested simultaneously. Also my med vocabularity and overall understanding of our biology has grown. And it’s 40* C outside and I have things to do there. Natural motivation. Thanks!

I experienced little thirst when dry fasting and losing water at a slow rate. But going under the sun and heating up made me feel thirsty and have a discomfort in the chest. The most noticeable effect was the great force of the heartbeat.

I out for drinks with my friend, a writer, he never used slang. and he said, “I feel “to be” al dehydration and stuff” We had golfed before cocktails, and he didn’t look right, sweating profusely. I took him to the ER. He had heat exhaustion, was in the hospital for 2 days. Turns out he had been drinking more gin than water when golfing. YOUVE GOT TO BE CAREFUL! Drink water with cocktails. Stay out of the heat (global warming summers). If someone doesn’t look right and are talking strange and sweating absolutely go to the doctors. Take care everybody, really great video here.

Thank you Dr I have a question, since sweat doesn't affect the number of electrolytes, can we say that it leads -only- to intracellular dehydration? And what are the processes that lead to the loss of both water and electrolytes as for extracellular dehydration?

Does the body have a system to store minerals such as potassium and magnesium on an intra cellular level which is not affected by the osmotic effects of hydration? I want to drink more water but I already P constantly being on keto and fasting. I’m thinking of adding super high amounts of salt to my food and drink so that my blood pressure stays high as I have poor circulation and hydration issues

I once had dehydration in Year 1 10 years ago. It was really bad. At first, it was a couple throw ups but then it was every day so my mum took me to the Hospital. Turned out I was dehydrated and afterwards I had two blood thingy tests and I had some cherries and berries juice or was it blackcurrant!? I dunno but It wasn't any normal juice. It tasted weird but still tasty. Afterwards it was somehow magic because suddenly I wasn't throwing up anymore 😂 I then got dehydrated last year but wasn't as bad. I almost threw up at times but I chugged water down my throat. BTW my birthday is July 19th and Last year!? YEESH no wonder how I got dehydrated but I'm fine now. I've never got dehydrated again.... So yeah taht was my story. In year 1 onwards I got so scared of getting dehydrated every ten minutes in school I'd ask "Can I have a drink please!?" Then they got suspicious I could tell but they never said anything except "ARE you alright!" Ofc I said yes. But when I reached year 5 I stopped taht fear. Ill never forget that story. It was scary as hell 😂

Is there a lab test that can determine dehydration and what kind it may be? I think I have chronic mild dehydration because I have several medical issues with no other explanation. But when at the Dr they ask how much water I drink, and then they say no way youre dehydrated. Anyway, is there a test I can ask for to get an answer instead of an assumption?

Great video. Question: So do you think ADHD, as in the "disorder", could be rooted in the deficit of that chemical ADH? Maybe the body is imbalanced partially due to the body's lack of reabsorption, therefore prone to dehydration. Without sufficient water our systems of the body just simply cannot function optimally, and I believe dehydration is a major factor of many ailments. Just curious rambles from an urban healer. :)

What kind of toxins live in the brain cells and do you get a greater concentration of toxins with dehydration? Are other cells different from brain cells and in what way? Sorry to grill you so much I have multiple sclerosis and I have noticed my MS relapses after several bouts of dehydration like MS is a record keeping sadist. It also kicks off with a lack of deep sleep and I know cerebral spinal fluid comes up to literally wash the brain during deep sleep so I wondered if these relapses were caused by extracellular toxins and dehydration relapses were caused by intercellular toxins. The dehydration relapses are really bad compared to the lack of deep sleep relapses.

I just flat out dont drink enough water, plus I walk about 7000 to 10000 steps a day. Ended up in er like 5 times mostly around spring summer......no doctor had a clue what was wrong with me except one. He said I may be dehydrated and then that clicked.

When ADH increases water reabsorption from the kidneys does it transport any toxins from the kidneys back to the cells in the brain? Do you get a build up of urea in the brain cells?

Great accent on top of a smoking hot physique. No, im not objectifying the dr. Im complimenting his self care because that type of physique doesn't just appear on its own accord :-) But more importantly im rapt that i now have a possible explanation for my excessively dehydrated skin tissue, wrinkled flaps of skin hanging from my face, forearm and decolletage and visible capillary breakage around those renal tubules bilaterally. Tell that to the "more is better" people. Shoving suplements in their water bottle because it's good for you to take them at the same time.... More is better amirite? Funky how they try so hard to not be dihydrated but are dehydrating themselves.
