I have to say that volume 4 and 8 are my favorite rendition of Oscar’s leitmotif. Like his introduction into the show, it was so hopeful and warm and fascinatingly his own. But in volume 8 you can hear that hopeful turn a little more somber and sad, because of everything he’s been through since he was first introduced, and the part that is my _absolute favorite_ is that Oz’s leitmotifs is slowly merely with Oscar’s by that time they have that conversation about fairytales comes around, I don’t know why the hell I like that so much but I makes me giddy every time I listen it. My bois, Oz and Oscar I love them your honor 🥺😭

Hooray, it's updated!! :D I'm obsessed with how the two motifs are combining and evolving together, switching up the instruments and such... I think my favorite musical surprise this volume was discovering that the music that plays during Ozpin's apology is just a really warm-feeling version of his leitmotif with Oscar's instruments, up until "It's a risk you can take on me again," at which point it becomes Oscar's leitmotif (I had to watch on fast speed to even catch it) - it's just such a cool and smooth transition having that 5-note resolution of Oscar's motif play when Oz opens himself up to the group... Gosh they're good at this stuff

also 13:30 - 13:36 woah I really love that transition, I hope that melodic sequence shows up more often (really just the entire bike scene and monstra scene is so so so good)

As of volume 8, this has now become one of my favorites. I love what they did when the two themes mixed there. I think it’s gonna become a new motif. I hope so, at least. If it does, do I have the right to coin it "The Inevitable Path"?
