Coach Prime Thank you for ALL that you have done. You have done more for the city of Jackson than anyone in years. You have to understand that the Governor and his followers are serious about destroying Jackson Ms. The whole nation loves what you have done! Thank you so much for Everything.

Jackson has destroyed itself , with weak democratic leaders . Top 10 in the nation in crime ! The city of Jackson was granted millions of dollars in the past to rebuild there infrastructure and none of that money was used to rebuild Jackson water treatment.

The problems in Jackson are directly related to 40+ years of elected officials in the city of Jackson (almost entirely Democrats) and their appointees running the city and its infrastructure into the ground by misappropriating funds and fulfilling their duty to the citizens. The governor isn't responsible for making sure every mayor and every city government does the minimum to keep its infrastructure from falling apart. Now those same corrupt, incompetent local "leaders" want to blame the state government for not fixing everything. If it was the state government's fault then why is the issue only in Jackson? Blame should go to those responsible... every Mayor and every Director of the Water Department in Jackson for the past 40 years.

Jackson became a run down city when people left for the suburbs. Ironically, 100% of every city in the country has the same issue. One class leaves the city, the other class runs it into the ground.

But they aren’t embarrassed and Deion’s words will fall on deaf ears. This is historically one of the most racist states in the country and they view Deion as just a flash in the pan because he will eventually move on and they will wait him out. No matter how great a football player he was, he’s not a politician that’s a total different world and they will eventually break you if you try to change things. Flint Michigan got national exposure in 2014 for its water crisis and it’s still not fully resolved. Camp Lejeune another example… I applaud his efforts but unfortunately they probably won’t amount to any significant change fast or ever.

@@jeremiahelliott How is it systemic racism when it is due to deliberate misappropriation of public funds, corruption, mismanagement, and incompetence by 40 years of LOCAL "leaders"? Do a quick search and look at the past 40 years of mayors, city council, and water department directors... all Democrats plus you will see your racism claim is false. The state government isn't responsible for local water systems and other cities don't have Jackson's disaster. It's a local failure by local leaders, and definitely not racist. Not everything is racist. Sometimes it's extreme corruption and incompetence.

@@KevinHuff23 skim off the top. Well let's see here there are countless private companies that have been awarded public contracts that have either given kick backs or have somehow had numerous cost overages resulting in more tax payer dollars to go for paying already negotiated contracts. Yes the two should work together to come up with a viable solution but to insinuate that one is on the take and nit the other is flat out being disingenuous. Let's open up the state books and see just what kind of favorable deals and contracts have been awarded under numerous administration's. Please stop with the nonsense. Coach Prime, (well as I call you Cuz because we are both Sanders), let me first start off by saying THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all that you have done since you have been here because what people do not realize is you do not have to be here and you do not have to do what you do. I am a very proud Alum of #theeilove Class of '97 and I see the bigger picture which is mentoring and serving as a father to our young men, who are our future, when I am sure most of them have absent biological fathers, some may have never owned or worn a suit, been on a plane, in the midst of celebrities and more importantly have probably never been made to feel like they are just as good as the young men that attend a Power 5 schools. Coach Prime, from the first year you have been here you have faced ton of adversities and have hung in there, especially when it comes to the water, theft, ice storm, water, water and now MORE WATER. You said God called you 'collect' and you answered the call and we so appreciate you because your purpose is much bigger than we know and I hope this message, along with all the other things you have said, opens our local leaders hearts and small minds to think bigger and outside the box. It is not just about them, it is not just about JSU, it is not just about the City of Jackson, it is not just about the State of Mississippi, it is about PEOPLE who are blessed to get up everyday, go to work, school, church, restaurants, etc. to better themselves and enjoy the fruits of their labor to have to continuously deal with things that can be changed if we all work together. Cousin Coach Prime, it is about ALL OF US and WE ALL NEED TO BELIEVE!

Why didn’t Deion buy a house in Jackson when he took the job?? Madison and ridgeland etc and surrounding cities don’t put up with crime. There is a reason those areas see the huge influx of people fleeing Jackson and it’s because they are tired of the crime, pothole ridden streets, no water etc. Kenneth stokes on the news on the regular telling cops not to chase criminals into Jackson to cease chases. What does that tell criminals?? Telling people to throw bricks and bottles at the police is a great example of city leadership at its finest. The tax base is running on empty while Madison and ridgeland and flowood boom.

Can you imagine the costs financially, mentally, emotionally of trying to operate with a continuous water crisis? What is the root of the cause of the water crisis? Sorry but there is no way I would build a new stadium, volleyball court, or anything else if I can’t take care of a basic human need first.

Coach Prime this is way bigger than you. There are many outside of Jackson that want you OUT OF THERE! Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and USM are unhappy about what is happening at JSU. They want to frustrate you enough for you to leave. I pray you continue to fight for the disenfranchised but the evil is real. How dare you do the UNTHINKABLE?!?
