@@sydboski you must have never seen him play. with pads on, there was no one faster. can't recall ever getting to see him run full speed, he was THAT fast.
@sydboski5 жыл бұрын
@@toddinthemiddle How do you know he wasn't at full speed? You don't. How do you know no one was faster. Did you measure how fast he was and measure how fast other players were who were not on the same field or from different eras? No you didn't you are using your opinion. Speed is not an opinion. It is measurable and provable. Deion never had to chase people like Trindon Holliday 10.00 100m dash Jeff Demps, Jacoby Ford 10.01 Bob Hayes, Ron Brown 10.06 Alvis Whitted 10.07 Darrell Green 10.08 Sam Graddy 10.09 or Willie Gault 10.10 Deion was fast yes at 10.26. I know you are not trying to say that Deion was faster than these guys when they all put on 8-12lbs of equipment and run in cleats on turf or grass. The equipment slows everyone. Sanders is not going to magically get faster in full gear and the other players who are faster than him on the track are not going to slow down so much that they would be slower than Sanders. That makes no sense. Especially being that much faster than Sanders in the first place. Oh I saw Sanders' whole career. I even saw him on the track at Florida. He was certainly fast, just not the fastest.
@toddinthemiddle5 жыл бұрын
@@sydboski yes, my saying that no one was faster than deion is, indeed, just my opinion. i have personally never seen anyone else look so much faster than everyone else on a football field than sanders, and it always appeared so effortless. i can't argue with timed runs, if a clock says that others were faster, but i can argue the eyeball test. in deion's time in dallas, i never missed one of his games, and i distinctly remember him being beaten only once on a long pass, which was against the colts, when he bit on play action, guessing incorrectly, with the defender running right by him.

@@treygray2817 Literally. Madden said it one night on Monday Night football. Id like to say he ( Sanders ) was still playing in Dallas then. I do not know exactly what John Madden said but it was something to the effect that there was an extremely high percentage that Deion intercepts passes/forces incompletions so teams would refuse to throw to his side and or run a lot of sweeps to his side as he was allegedly a liability versus the run - which as we can see, was untrue. These were my middle/high school days and I'm nearly 40 now. Pretty sure he eventually picked someone off that very same game & then played a MLB game too that week. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
