Ronnie Lott is the 🐐 DB. All Pro at every position in the secondary. But if we wanna be technical Champ Bailey is the all around best corner.

'94 was the 49ers last championship team. The team was absolutely loaded and the secondary was amazing. Hanks, McDonald, Sanders, Davis. The opposite CB of Sanders was Eric Davis and he was real good because he was tested all the time. A bunch of teams avoided Sanders' direction so they figured their best shot was against Davis. He had to be on his toes all the time. Still held his own despite that focus.

For all u nuts who keep saying Charles Woodson and I love Woodson (Michigan favorite college team). He's not the best all around DB. He wasn't better all around than Ronnie Lott or Rod Woodson. Deion best CB, best safety Ronnie Lott, best combined CB & S Ronnie Lott & Rod Woodson. Best safety in zone coverage Ed Reed.

You right....but WOODSON was all pro at corner and saftey so he is superb too but PRIME is the 🐐💯💯💯

@@easymoneyproductions9898 Woodson was great not saying he wasn't. But he's not prime at CB. And Ronnie Lott was rookie of the year and made the pro bowl 5 years straight at CB before he moved to safety. Then when he went to safety he was the best all around safety ever.

In Deion's prime, if you were not Rice or Irvin(or built like them), you almost had no shaht. Few people in NFL history were faster, but, even if you were in a HYPOTHETICAL or real matchup, you were sure to get the jam treatment. I think you needed to be strong enough to force him to play off. Sharpe was strong enough and did everything else right. Owens had the strength: all that was left for him was to bring his hands to the game and use his body to shield Deion from undercutting the ball. That being said, few WRs had the possibility of dealing with him mano-y-mano without scheme. I had stopped watching by the time Calvin Johnson came along: was he strong enough to beat Deion's bump?!

Damn, makes you realize how static and simple NFL offensive schemes were back in the day. They lined up their star WR 14 plays in a row on the same side vs the same corner. Imagine any offense doing something like that today.
@dirtyface-capone7622 Жыл бұрын
The only team I've seen do that over the last few years are the AZ Cardinals.They hardly move their WR's around the field or use motion.Maybe that's why Kliff Kingsbury got fired.
