Deion isn’t an Xs and Os guy. He is a motivator, not sure that is enough in the NFL. Dan Campbell is the only real motivator coach, but he was actually hired for his Xs and Os. When you talk about the team being nervous in multiple playoff years, that’s quite literally the fault of the head coach Didn’t have his team prepared in the bigger games, despite having an offense lead or be near the top of scoring and defense setting records. Doing that in the regular season and then saying the team looked nervous says 2 things: 1. He clearly had talent to work with in all 3 phases. 2. Coach didn’t have them prepared.

Deion went to Colorado and took over a significantly worse roster than 98% of FBS teams. He maximized what he had, attracted talent, and resurrected something that was completely dead. He’s not the greatest coach ever, but he’ll do well in the NFL, which is a much more level playing field than college.
