Rogan wants to talk about comedy and cancel culture and the mechanics of comedy, but absolutely hates when somebody actually does comedy

The problem is he’s trolling stuff that Joe has spent his entire life and podcast career trying to explain. Joe is likely more fascinated by deja vu and the concept and wanting to have a real discussion about it. He also separates comedy routines with the comedy store and his podcast. His podcast is meant for real talk

He's obviously someone who's either neurodivergent or notices his surroundings and analyses his existence. The problem is that once he said scientology.. I’m with ya that Joe misses plenty. And isn’t a “great” comedian and the funniest folks run circles around him. But… Is this not a valuable platform for wild thoughts and crazy guests with no particular agenda other than to be interesting and make money? Joe and his guests are wrong/wild/whatever plenty of the time. That’s why he’s the biggest guy in the podcast space. He was early, has mma and Fear Factor fans on his side and legitimately seems to be committed to just talking and sharing ideas with really interesting people. No crazy biases, no need for ads and heavy sponsor consideration - they smoke a joint (or whatever) and just talk about things.

"What's really going to bake your noodle" is that The Matrix is a Buddhist film. The Matrix is the world created by our own discriminating mind and ego-self. Through practising Buddhist meditation, primarily Zen, you can realise what is called "emptiness" (or selfless non-dual awareness) which is the equivalent of escaping from the Matrix (or Samsara as it is referred to in Buddhism). Then by meditating on emptiness, you can ultimately "become the one" by realising your own Buddha-nature after passing through the death of the ego, which is obviously represented by the conclusion of the movie. Another important aspect of the film is that Morpheus represents the Bodhisattva archetype by repeatedly returning (taking "rebirth") into Samara to free other people from the Matrix, which is a key stage of the path to Buddhahood. Turn your light around to shine back and free your mind from the illusory world of Samsara (which is pervaded by suffering)...you must have faith.

No joking here....Deja Vu was solved years ago. Have to admit I forget where I saw it but the theory makes perfect sense which is that basically your brain can sort of glitch from time to time and take something that just happened and store it into long-term memory therefore you feel like you're experiencing something you've done before your having an experience that's being repeated but it's only because it just got dumped into long-term memory in error
@HipHopAn0n
@HipHopAn0n 3 ай бұрын
To call it an "error" assumes some state of consistency which you are essentially taking to exist on faith. In simpler terms, youre assuming its a bug instead of a feature which is perfectly consistent with the ACTUAL nature of this reality

One night I had a dream I was in a car flying through a wooden fence and chain-link fence and I woke up scared when I hit the fence. A month or so later me and my uncle flew off the road and threw a fence in as we were flying through it all I could think of was this is that dream as we hit the tree on the other side of the fence and it saved us from a solid cement block wall down a ten foot embankment. Rip uncle ray. He almost killed me that day I was high drunk and on acid. Cops gave me a ride home w weed n acid in my pocket as they took him to jail for dui. Deja Vu, isn't a weak impression that you have done something. It takes your out of the moment for maybe a minute or two. Linguistically it hard to describe, I felt like I had reach up toward counter as child before. In other words, I was both a child and an adult at the time. Adult or third person omniscient, I became the observe outside of my conscious mind. I believe this is extraordinarily rare sensation.

As for life after death? Your mind is so delicate and so interconnected with the complex machinery of your brain that your consciousness can be profoundly altered or even erased from damage to it. Scoop out half of your brain right now and it will take a decade for you to come back if you ever come back at all but you will never be the same person you were. But you think your consciousness can persist WITHOUT your brain?? Maybe we share a background group consciousness and perhaps a spark of raw energy that connects us containing the equivalent of genetic memories can persist after death. But without your brain working perfectly there’s no you.
