It’s not like our offense is complex. We have like 6 total plays and only ever use 3.

Hey guys! Love the show. I listen to it every morning on the way to work. The 116th is the Air National Guard unit I'm a part of out of Robins AFB, Georgia.

What about Pearsall, he missed training camp and hot shot and still played a few games at end if year and he played great, I realize he's not a 1st rounder but we just want a few plays to get a jump start towards next year

Guys - look around the league at WR's having a major impact as a rookie. Ladd McConkey was a 2nd round pick and has 80 catches for over 1000 yards this year as a rookie. The next closest Charger target this year has 500 yards. Look at Puka Nacua last year - Cedric Wilson 2022. To say "rookies can't have an impact" is a lazy, tired, dumb take - it is 2024 - not 1994.

We should have drafted McConkey🤦🏾♂️

@12:20 "rookies need playing time to develop". And how do you get that playing time? When the game is out of reach or maybe in a spot situation, Wilson should have been in the past few games. That experience is invaluable, and instead we have a complete wasted year and are essentially bringing back a rookie with zero experience again next year. I get that you can't control a rookie getting injured and maybe we just had the worst luck this year. Of the 100 draft picks in last year's first three rounds only 4 others played as little as our 1st and 3rd round picks. Once Wilson was healthy enough to put on pads, though, the Steelers needed to find opportunities to get him on the field, even for a few plays a game. Look at what Tampa did with McMillan. He had 13 catches and 1 TD in his first 8 games played and wasn't looking like he belonged on the field. Then in the last 5 games 24 catches and 7 TDs. Sure the last 2 games were agains the Saints and Panthers, but you're telling me Wilson couldn't go out there against the Bengals and catch 1 ball?

An entire regular season of learning the system to not be able to play is no excuse. My goddess the amount of excuses for this wide receiver is incredible.

They watch him in practice, so maybe it's something lacking.

@@drshadowsfilms6059100%. He looked like a very poor man's Calvin Austin in camp. He was a top 90 pick & looked a bit out of place. Not like there's a ton of studs to make him look out of place by comparison.

McMillan in Tampa is the perfect example of how to handle a rookie WR.
