The "dark" hero Deku - still heroic, but losing himself to his mindset. Self-sacrifice is normally a positive trait, but this a "dark" inversion of how it can be self-destructive. His biggest threat right now is not the villains, but him to himself. This arc with some interesting character exploration for Deku.

While self-sacrifice is a trait you'd find in most shonen protagonist, Izuku embodies it in a way where it'd make sense for his character to ultimately fail to account for himself. Like Bakugou had stated previously with All Might, Izuku doesn't think about himself in the end. This obviously goes all the way back to his humble beginnings of being labeled as quirkless, being useless, etc. It's why the moments in which Izuku is vulnerable when talking about himself on a very personal level are far in-between. Of course he should seek some comfort in others, but he really needs to practice some kind of self-love for himself.

Agreed. And now he's not only pushed his Mom, his classmates/friends, and even All Might away, he's (indirectly) even pushed away the Top 3 Heroes, and even the vestiges themselves. His stubbornness, insecurities, needing to "prove" himself, needing to "always sacrifice himself to save everyone," and thinking no one can really help him is creating a toxic mess that's becoming him downfall. And the fact he believes no one, not even the Top 3, can "keep up," so absolutely no one can help in any way, not even the vestiges, makes it worse.

Eh, in a way men go through this before they come out on top most tines. Our class A doesn’t come to the rescue until months or years after we passed our highest milestones possible and by then we’re completely different people

@Waskow Creations Art I mean obviously varies by people and experiences, but not necessarily men (also women btw) to come out on top (for every success you may hear, likely plenty failures you aren't aware of). As you mentioned, could come out a different person, but that not necessarily for the better. There are definitely points where people can be damaged by their situation and mental health issues shouldn't necessarily be ignored to just "toughen the situation out".

Yeah Deku's development this arc was really interesting and fresh. And I understand it. I mean imagine losing a few friends to the very villains your power is meant to destroy. It would fill you with guilt. You'd want to do anything, especially deku, to protect them. "I bare the pain so they don't have to" kinda deal. This should also be a gentle reminder to anyone who has a similar noble mindset that is also self destructive. Accepting help is okay.

​@@eriwithagun3095 no it isn't. Fahjin combined with 45 percent only works in single bursts and only mimics all mights speed. He cant spam it since he needs to build up more kinetic energy after using fahjin. 45% Ofa plus fahjin plus transmission allows him to move 20% faster than all might but again he can't spam it since transmission can only be used 5 minutes a day due to how strong it is now and because fahjin needs to be recharged so basically he can shoot his power slightly above all mights full power but only in short bursts since he can't spam it like all might since his body is still not strong enough. I really wanna see a sequel of the series just to see adult deku using 100% combined with fahjin and transmission just to see him op his attacks would be.

Well people want "cool" Deku, but this is him at the cost of his physical and mental health. He's "sucked it up" and now emotionally constipated. It's a reminder that pretending that you're fine all the time and starving yourself emotionally isn't necessarily the strength you may think it is... actually it could be quite the opposite as a weakness that eats at you internally.

I can't wait for this fight next week! Deku: Multiple quirks and has been doing analysis on everyone else in the class. However, he's tired. We literally just saw him get overwhelmed by a crowd of civilians who weren't even using quirks. He was too exhausted to think of a plan. 1-A: Individually they all only have one quirk but as a group they can do several things he can't. They've also had time to prepare for this fight. From what Iida said, he expected this to happen. 18:10 - Also consider that Tokoyami & Dark Shadow are very strong (they were able to go against ReDestro) and they're fighting under a cloudy sky. And while it would be hard for Denki to hit him with his quirk, Deku doesn't have a counter or defense against electricity.

Around this time is where character growth starts to get more interesting in MHA. It's weird how fast the anime is catching up, it still has a long way to go, but we're still in the final act in the manga XD it's still not done, I assume the anime will have around 2 to 3 seasons more depending on how the manga develops.

that's only in speed. fa Jin requires constant REPETITIVE motion, at least that's what the anime says. deku is not as strong as all might prime. But he can, in short bursts, match prime speed.
