One of the best quotes of the entire series, in my opinion, was when they were fighting and Midorya said, "All Might was my hero, but you were the one actually in my life." I think it just shows Kacchan how Midorya really felt about him.

It really irks me a lot of people say Bakugo was throwing a tantrum here. It wasn't a tantrum- that's an anxiety attack caused by overthinking and stressing himself out- this episode was the one to make me cry

I love how the camera stops switching between them, and shows them both when it replays the line, 'do you think I can be a hero, too?' It's a nifty little way to emphasize that this is the primary goal, and also greatest insecurity for them both.

I notice a lot of reactors only bring up the fact that bakugo blames hisself for all might and they forget or overlook how he felt about deku, “ it’s obvious you’ve always looked down on me since we were kids” we all know that deku loves to help ppl because we know alot more about him but we didn’t know enough about bakugo, thru his eyes he felt like deku was helping him because deku felt like kacchan was weak when he felt like he could take care of himself which was hurting his pride, and as a child with no one to guide him he didn’t have the help needed for this, so he had to cope with it the best way he knew how which in his eyes was to look back down on deku, especially since he knew he was stronger so when all might (both of there idols) chose deku and he “ended all might” it caused way too many emotions for him to even think straight which lead to this fight, I don’t think his actions are justified but what can you expect from a child with no guidance

I feel like most ppl understand this about his character though, including reactors. In season 1 Bakugo is so surprised and upset when he first sees that Deku has a quirk that he immediately rushes at him. He believed that Deku was hiding his quirk from him to make him look foolish. Bakugo is always flashing back to that moment when he falls in the lake and Deku tries to help him up. Every time he remembers that it makes him more angry. As you said in your comment, it’s because in his mind Deku was looking down on him. In that moment he believed that Deku thought of him as weak. So I feel like this aspect of Bakugo is well established by the 3rd season. Everyone brings up the fact that Bakugo blames himself because, like All Might, we forget that he’s still just a kid. Most ppl who watch this show are well aware of his insecurity, even though they might push that aside and just boil him down to a one note angry guy. But seeing that Bakugo blames himself for what happened to All Might is so shocking that every reactor I’ve watched has been surprised by it. No one had any clue that he felt that way.

Well you are partly correct, but you're also very wrong. He was already feeling like it was his fault since it happened, not because of what his mother said. While her words didn't exactly help, she isn't the reason he felt this way as he was already feeling that way before

This fight had to happened. Kacchan stated in his own way that he considers him a rival and Deku needed this to see how he stacks up. He always held shoto and kacchan higher than himself. This shows him that he deserves OFA. Now they have a healthy rivalry in their own way now.

Bakugou already got his win over Deku and Deku has gotten really strong during the war arc and afterwards. But it will definitely be an amazing fight to see again with their current progress.

Bakugo's voice actor in the English dub is great but I think the sub version is in a way better. Don't get me wrong I watched the first four season of MHA in English dub. However I did watch season 5 sub at the time cuz one I was impatient to wait for the whole season to come out in dub and the fact that there would be spoilers in the internet and all so I watched the subbed version which honest got me to like both sub and dub

I think you’re really overestimating their relationship lol. Deku *accidentally* slipped up and told Bakugo about OFA because he was emotional in the heat moment, not because he trusted/loved him. Ultimately they will never work together. They’re both aiming for the number one spot so they’re forever gonna be rivals trying to one up each other the same way Goku and Vegeta do throughout DBZ/S. Bakugo has clearly hated Deku growing up having straight up told him to commit suicide at the beginning and is only now mellowing out on it because of their fight. Sure they’ll help each other out depending on whether the situation demands it or not, but you’re *REALLY* overestimating their relationship.

Sorry in adavance, this got a bit long... I don't think that she's overestimating their relationship at all. Deku DOES love Bakugo. No, not in a ship sense. In the same way he loves All Might. He's usually in awe of Bakugo and admires him immensely despite his treatment of Deku and his personality faults. Maybe not trust exactly, but he told Bakugo the truth about OFA because he didn't want Bakugo to think he was looking down on him or lying to him their entire lives. He hadn't even told his mom (the person he was closest to at the time) but he felt he NEEDED to tell Bakugo. They do work together and they actually make a really good team. Their relationship is beyond complicated and their feelings about one another are twisted and complex. Even All Might has said that their feelings about each other are so twisted that when it's about the other, they lose all reason. The whole swan dive comment is inexcusible, but Horikoshi has admitted he went too far with that. He also said he doesn't actually think Bakugo would say that to Deku after writing the characters for so long and I have to agree. He says 'die' to people and says he's going to 'kill' the villains but we all know he doesn't actually mean it. And besides bullying Deku and setting the swan dive comment aside, I can't ever remember him saying something that cruel to anyone. Even in the light novels and spin-offs or in the short two chapter prequel manga Horikoshi wrote for the Heroes Rising movie. Vague manga spoilers (but not REALLY spoilers) ahead if you haven't read it. Bakugo has never ACTUALLY hated Deku. He bullied him and tried to crush his dream of being a hero because he sees his weaknesses and what he lacks in terms of compassion and 'hero spirit' in Deku. He wanted to keep Deku away from him because he didn't want to acknowledge those weaknesses exist and that Deku 'a weak, quirkless nobody' has something he doesn't. Bakguo has always respected Deku deep down, that's why he's always felt so threatened by him.

Suzy, see here, that fight was ABSOLUTELLY necessary, kacchan psyque is at danger there, his reputation as a hero permanently damaged, no matter what, public opinion will forever recognice him as the kid that ended allmight, his pide in the floor, and the kid he secretly envied (emotionally speaking) making more progress and results than him... Had they not fought, he actually might had turned a villan, sad, because he admire heroes and allmight even more than deku
