My fave station in Chicago, WXRT played these guys a lot. Of course, if Lin Bremer made it into work after a concert and all night/morning drinkin with the boys. Funniest was when the boys also came into the studio after one of those nights. Good stuff. ♥

Del Amitri, one of the most under rated bands to come out of the 80's/90's. It's all about the writing isn't it? Finely crafted songs with great lyrics and catchy melodies and bridges. And Mr Currie's voice is an absolute treat to the ears. Dig a little deeper into their catalog, you will find many a gem.

It got a fair bit of airplay where I was in the spring of 1990,when it was released following their chart breathrough earlier that year with Nothing Ever Happens. Sadly,it stalled just outside the Top 40 when it should have been much bigger.

the late 80s/early 90s is kind of a lost era in music... there were a lot of bands from that period, and Del Amitri is a prime example, that didn't really fit in with either decade. This song in particular is a masterpiece and it should have been a lot bigger.

I remembered this song from the early 1990’s when I was on the road as a salesman. It was before the internet , and I never looked into who performed it. It sounds like American Country music and it makes you want to hear it over and over. All those years ago and then I heard it at a gas station in Northern Kentucky in the summer of 2023. Shazam solved the mystery of who it was that performed it. I wouldn’t have guessed that Del Amitri was a Scottish band. Great , great song!

I just flashed on who these guys remind me of. "Beatles 65" "Beatles for sale"! Late 1964 to early 1966, that phase. They don't sound the same or image them. It's more in the styling of the songs, and the spirit. I'm just listening to other things they have done, for the first time, other than "Roll To Me". I missed out on a lot of good stuff. I grew up in the Beatlemania era, way over the top now. There's a brightness, a positiveness that brings me back to the Beatles songs. Only the one they wrote, not the covers. Wish I could describe it better, That's all I got.
