These two work together great. Really liking the new song at the end. If you enjoyed this I also recommend the $3 patreon tier to get the BTS assessment for each episode, really entertaining and insightful stuff. In regards to Kyle saying he would never do a Final Bosman esque show at Easy Allies and then doing said show about a year after leaving Easy Allies, it's not so black&white but here are just a handful of things to consider if you somehow think this is a jerk move. 1. At Easy Allies he was cultivating and moderating a weekly podcast about the week's videogame news, which not only is a lot of work but more or less covers the same content and allowed Kyle to present some truly ridiculous bits. Naturally you might say a similar show schedule was happening at GT but remember that that was a full-time in-office job for everyone so there was more time, money, people, and resources with everyone being together for bits and stuff. As Easy Allies said, when your team shrinks it's a double whammy because not only do you lose those people but the remaining employees have to now take on their work. 2. The initial goal when leaving Easy Allies was not to do his own show reacting to videogame news, but we were at the height of a pandemic as he left, throwing off his plans, and said pandemic was not in the cards when Kyle decided to leave.

Very excited for the next season
@demo_sphere Жыл бұрын
I'm glad Kyle finally acknowledged it was weird that he left EZA to do the thing he said he wasn't gonna do, I appreciate the honesty. Though I can't help but wonder why Delayed Input couldn't be released under EZA or even MinMax at this point. Kyle just does what he's doing now except with better exposure and more collaborations. Ben and Kyle should work together more often. I know there may be personal reasons as to why Kyle hasn't done this stuff, but he should at least guest appear on MinMax and Easy Allies more often. Kyle makes videogame journalism extreamly fun and interesting. I don't think I'd be as interested by this industry if it wasn't for Kyle and the people around him.
@GATESOFKELL Жыл бұрын
I think he's sort of answered this before but, he left Easy Allies to pursue more creative opportunities but COVID happened and, much like everything in the world at the time, his plans got put on pause. So a year removed from EZA with nothing substantial to really show for it, he decided doing this thing was probably the best bet for him and his situation at the time.
@demo_sphere Жыл бұрын
@@GATESOFKELL Totally yeah, but now that time has passed and this show that wasn't meant to exist now exists, I'm wondering why he couldn't potentially work with EZA or MinMax, or at least just release Delayed Input under one of those umbrellas. There's probably reasons, Kyle said working with EZA was like eating fries constantly, who doesn't like fries? But all the time would be boring. So since he hasn't eaten fries in 3 years, perhaps he has a hankering for them again. My suggestion to Kyle is to add more sauce and other condiments if fries become boring over time, not to stop eating them all together... I just made myself hungry.
@t0mes Жыл бұрын
Get why you are saying this but I for one am happy Kyle is standing on his own, doing his own thing, and owning it. Not saying he was held back by Easy Allies but not everyone is suited to working collaboratively.
@demo_sphere Жыл бұрын
@@t0mes As someone who is currently releasing music independently and have no real desire to be on a record label. I can completely understand that feeling. I also struggle to collaborate with people unless they are the right people. Kyle seems so relaxed with the MixMax crew though, this video alone shows how well Kyle and Ben work together. But at the end of the day I just appreciate that Delayed Input exists, Kyle should keep riding whatever wave he is riding right now. But I wont lie, I really miss hearing Kyle casually chat with someone about video games on a regular basis. His collaborations and conversations with people are always so entertaining and insightful
@Heat55wade3 Жыл бұрын
Not to be mean because I loved EZA like 5 or 6 years ago but, if he did this show there, he would have been pumping out this regularly *and* shouldering the main podcast hosting and being the main personality on the streams and reactions and all that and it still conceivably would have been for 1/9 of the income despite being more than 1/9 of the quality/product.

Oh my god, this was killer. I laughed SO hard at some of the clip reviews, and it felt good to feel a lot of appreciation for how damn quality every episode is. Like Ben said, compared to other videos, it’s so dense with ideas and every single one has something weird and unique. It’s like… it just feels different, even from other great content creators. It’s subtle, but despite the low-budget “appearance” it has this feeling of being a real network show, it just has this quality of writing, performance, and ideas that is on a different tier than just a well-made video. Love you Kyle and I’ll be looking forward to every episode!
