I wouldn't buy or play this game if it was a Guardians clone for the little story clips and they gave it to me for free, it's too cringe and has too much DEI tagged into it literally. But as a 5v5 hero shooter that drops it for millions of gamers right there, and all these games need players coming in daily at all times bc almost nobody but kids know 5 of gamers all off at the same time to play a few matches, that they would also probably be waiting in ques with nothing to do if the player count gets low, making the player count drop even more, bc nobody gets on anything to sit and wait. And even if you did have something to do most games and especially these online content games, the stuff or gearing up is the same old boring and rng things that frustrate everyone and then it becomes a pointless waste that you must do until the next pointless waste. Now some folks do like or love wasting their time like that, but the majority doesn't have the time to waste, and that's why online or MMO's fail today. Too many are out there and that's their game and nobody new is really getting dragged into the gaming world, bc people are having less kids and the one that are cant afford console or rig for the family. And its why Nintendo was on top again of units sold and games sold, its the cheapest and has the best varied libraries of genres that can please everyone. And thats the future we are coming to mainly bc of CEO's seeing numbers or activists doing a message game that nobody wanted, and its coming fast as either PC takes over and you get mainly a handful of online games as the mainstays with indies getting the little variety there, or handheld gaming and things go back to a few tentpoles but mainly a big mass of who knows. And that's bc of ballooning costs from pay, timeframe to get one to the market now, and a push to go all digital. And I dont like any of the cards the industry is showing for the future, and especially if this is what in their words World class talent is going to be putting out now.

Those 3 hours of Erdtree Avatar pettynees were bliss. Everytime i turn my frustration with a challenge into an "objective review of boss quality or design work" i take a breath and stop talking. Bosman walked into an optional fight that is pre to last boss being not even a quarter in to the content. He also named his character after an Avocado.

Kyle I believe you’re wrong. In bloodborne and sekiro and ds1-3 you don’t really have that many options of just going somewhere else if a boss is too hard. Typically you only have one main path, and all you can do is either get good or go farm and level up.

Fromsoft probably has online data of people walking into content with improper Scadu levels and can tell players to go get them But that doesn't help that the system is fundamentally just dumb taking away your power until you dilly dally enough to get your strength back

i will say that i think that the scadutree patch increasing your benefits will for sure help people but i also think that its not going to help people as much as they think it does. none of the bosses were touched, if one of your problems with the difficulty was that the bosses dont give you much room to attack them than this change did not do anything for you. im pretty sure this change is mostly just so they can say that they responded to feedback by giving people more damage and more defense. im not criticizing either the devs or the players btw i just think that if the dlc was too hard for you having 5-10% more damage and defense isnt gonna help you as much as you think

Cool the elden ring dlc is even more zelda like. You level by finding things rather than by earning experience. Similar to heart pieces.

Elden Ring is all about failure. Like the failure to reach 60 FPS, the failure to have even frame pacing or the failure to not have traversal stutter.

I feel like most of the complaints come from people who ignore the summons and want to play the game like it's Dark Souls, which it's not. I use everything at my disposal and haven't had much trouble with bosses until the last area. Those bosses are dicks though.
