Thank you, this is wonderful! I am not someone who can do "train talk", sadly I am ignorant about most technical aspects of trains. All true insight is given to me by the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob! FYI: 1] There is a Tsunami Tidal Wave prophesied for the east coast! The Lord God has told me in my spirit that the ENTIRE east coast (USA) will be destroyed and or underwater! This will be due to the Canary Islands La Palma and Iceland's volcanoes, erupting and exploding into the Atlantic Ocean! God revealed to me that this Tsunami Tidal Wave event causes the events described in Revelation Chapter 8:6-9 (The 7th Seal). This Tsunami Tidal Wave is also depicted on US $50 & $100 bills currency, just as 911 was depicted on the $20 dollar bill BEFORE the event happened! You can see a variety of KZbin videos for complete instructions on how to fold US paper currency to reveal hidden images like the 1941 Pearl Harbor Attack, OK City Bombing, 911, and the Upcoming New York City/ East Coast Tsunami Tidal Wave!!! This Tsunami Tidal Wave image is also on: Illuminati Playing Cards The Simpson's Canary Islands episode I, Pet Goat 2 Written of in Novels Featured in Comic Books Displayed in Music Videos Featured Storylines in many blockbuster Movies The Storyline in Video Games like Secret Files and many other places as well! God warns us in many ways, but God also requires the evil, powerful, and magical Demonic Realm all around us to warn as well. However, Evil usually does this in the form of make believe, or in jest like in movies, videos, documentaries, video games, sitcoms, novels, and the like! The La Palma Island volcano is now splitting. The Icelandic Volcanoes are boiling as well. It is said when these volcanoes explode, their pieces will plunge into the Atlantic with great force, then major water displacement will occur! This will create a Tidal Wave/ Tsunami that will destroy New York City and the entire East Coast of America!!! This Tsunami Tidal Wave will also drown all neighboring states to the north and south! Areas down to, and including, the entire state of Florida, with all its nearby islands will be underwater!!! You can visit floodmap.net then plug in 100-200 meters high wave to see how your particular area may fair if you are situated on the east coast. This link, at the 0.30 second mark, shows recent volcanic eruptions not seen on most network news channels. Those are two ex-Southern units with a horn at each end. Those lead long hood forward with usually a P5 on that end and a P3 on the trailing end. Maybe it was mentioned(I skipped through a little bit) but the track with the pole line that they are pushing the storage cars west on is part of the C&O of Indiana, which was C&O's main from Cincinnati to Chicago. In the late 70's the decision was made to reroute traffic off that line in favor of the B&O to the north and abandon the C&O west of LaCrosse. Since Amtrak was using the C&O at the time, they had to hurriedly rehab the ex-PM line from LaCrosse to Wellsboro and construct a loop track there to allow Amtrak to head west on the B&O. It didn't last more than a couple years but all the track you see here hosted Amtrak at one time or another.

Hearing it from a driver's perspective - what they like about a locomotive, and why one may be better than the rest from a mechanical standpoint, is fascinating. This captures exactly that and does so very well, and I wish there was more of this out there - hearing what different engineers like about the locomotives they operate, and their reasoning (especially on a short line with mismatched power).

Prior to January of 2018, I lived in a small Illinois town (Beecher) near the Indiana state line. For a number of years, I was a member of the Hoosier Valley Railroad museum in North Judson, in. Their excursion train would go all the way to La Crosse. The train would stop at the La Crosse at the public library while the passengers detrained. The crew would take the engine to the “Y” so they could turn the engine around for the trip back to North Judson. South of library there is a bank that had in front of it along the road a Pensy style lighted sign lamp that was red when the bank was closed and green when the bank was opened from a switch inside the bank. Sometime thereafter the Chessapeak and Indiana put a derail at English lake so the museum trains could go no further than English Lake…….Mark

Thanks for the video. I'm glad you explained that the B&O signal was repurposed from Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Not being a historical B&O line I was "confused' about the location of that B&O signal. I use to work for CSX on the Toledo sub. We had a mix of B&O signals along with the "modern" (we-called) Seaboard signal rules. As one will see on the Garrett/Willard Subs. CSX is gradually replacing the B&O signals but there are still a few on the Toledo sub and other locations. Deshler has some on the Toledo Sub side. They are costly to buy knew and the railroad generally wants to standardize it's signal rules. As Toledo Sub crews, we worked under B&O, C&O, "Seaboard", Conrail/NYC, NS and Toledo Terminal rules, depending on location. For me, the B&O color position light design was a little easier to read under poor visibility conditions as compared to the now standard color light signals.

I grew up in MIchigan City and in early 1964 drove with my parents south on US421 to visit my future college in Greencastle, IN. As a young railfan I was very interested in all the RR crossings south of MC since every line from the east that ran to Chicago crossed the highway at grade except for the PRR line parallel to US30 which went under a bridge. And the Monon MC Branch, complete with semaphore signals, ran parallel to us. I particularly remember LaCrosse and its wye. Funny, but in four years of driving back and forth from MC to Greencastle I can't remember seeing more than a handful of trains, passenger or freight, on those lines! Quite a disappointment. Cheers from Wisconsin!

Because Diesels are at their most powerful when moving slow. In order to go faster you add more units. This is why a switcher can shove a string of cars around a yard, but it takes 3 or 4 mainline units to go 60-70 mph

Engineer visibility on long hoods locomotives: Curiosity, as the price of cameras and monitors has significantly decreased, I'm wondering when a railroad certified heavy duty camera and monitor system will be fitted to locomotives I'm sure the federal government and certification not to mention making Rough service environment would increase their price dramatically. But the center of the track view on both the front and rear particularly on poor visibility units might make the endeavor worthwhile.

Great in-cab stuff. I liked the close-ups of indicator dials and especially the enormous keyring. If he ever dropped that while moving from one locomotive to another, the engineer would know it instantly. Must be 4 pounds - lots of keys for all the locomotives, padlocks, road vehicles, etc. You would have a hard time making a video in a cab on a Class 1 rail line - even when parked. Did you sign a liability waiver for the home office?
