Nah I'm convinced it's just a money farm/grab - build an audience of idiots, pump out 10-20 minute long videos doing questionable repair/fab/maintenance so you can capture a rage bait audience as well as the idiots who believe what they see, fill the video with just absolute fluff (random B roll of him taking a toothbrush out of the sink on his way to find a drill) and make bank off the adverts. It's so hilariously stupid and low effort that I refuse to believe this is a genuine person who does these things thinking he's more than 50 IQ.

He failed to anneal the sheet. Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat and him holding the sheet would have melted the glove on his hand. Ironically, he could have created a cool multi-folded edge - much like the basting tin you linked to. It would have given an interesting design. His hydraulic press and a hand made press die would easily do that.

There are guys who join Goldman Sachs or ABN Amro or Deutsche Bank or something and buy a Rolex watch. It's just a part of the job. And yes, it does represent a certain success. If you've done PPE at Oxford or got in via LSE, it's still a quarter of your life. It's fooking difficult to get there, and just living life on cruise control and driving a bus is NOT equivalent. And what has Delboy achieved? He's made 2 oven trays for Christmas duck/turkey.

Steel if you leave it raw uncoated/painted ends up with shit on it basically, especially if yiu heat it or weld it.
@UnCivilEngineerIRL3 ай бұрын
It's full name is 'mill scale' and it's a type of iron oxide (like rust, but different) that is formed on the surface of the steel during the hot-rolling process. When you see mild steel that's brand new, it has a kind of blue colour (and is shiny silver wherever you cut it, that blue stuff is the iron oxide "scale".
