Thank you for this (and every) video. Yesterday i had to replace my rear turn signals (with an OEM replacement, not a tail tidy) and this video helped me get where i needed to be to get a good start on the job. Most difficult part was undoing the wire harness clip for the taillight/turn signal assembly. (I also had to drill holes in the plastic piece in order to mount my license plate, but that might just be an American problem). If anyone else has trouble with the wire harness clip: if you're looking at the clip, there are two tiny side clips and one clip/switch thing on top. Ignore the side clips and just loosen the top clip and it'll come undone easily!

@TheMissendenFlyer9 жыл бұрын
+Moonfleet41 Cheers Del - Just a matter of timing - do I go get a "classic" air/oil cooled Scrambler now whilst I still can, or do I wait until the new revamped models are available (not sure how the water cooled thing will pan out and aren't convinced a Bonnie needs 95hp for gentle cruising of country lanes...ABS would be nice though). Guess I will have to see what we learn from the big Triumph reveal promised for October 28th! In the meantime will re-enjoy your Scrambler back catalogue.....
@Moonfleet419 жыл бұрын
+TheMissendenFlyer I am hearing the same turmoil from many would be buys right now buddy, and i can understand it....but for me, the price would decide it... the new bike will be hellish pricey in the face of the 865...and like you said, you dont need the power, you'd be better buying the smaller bike and spending the rest on improving the handling so you can ride it like you stole it all th time... lol
@TheMissendenFlyer9 жыл бұрын
+Moonfleet41 ....very true, but I'd be gutted if the new range turn out to be absolutely stonking (I'm thinking scrambler with tidy back end to start with, Ohlin's, Brembos, fancy paint job, ABS, a loud stock exhaust, slightly reduced weight, a fuel gauge......ok, we can all dream). So I'll hold on to my pennies and see what next weeks announcements bring, then if they look like they've made a dogs breakfast of it I'll be down the dealer for an 865 pronto!! To be honest it's partly the decision making and anticipation that's the fun!! Thanks for all the advice and guidance, keep up the great work & apologies I also ride the GS ;0) - all the best - TMF.

I was sooooooooooooooooo relieved as I do all my work alfresco in Scotland!! Just a heads up if anyone is interested the mk1 Bandit 600 fender is the same part number as the 1200. Such a great channel. I would never of had the confidence to touch my Bonny in any kind of modification voyage. I’ve been watching Delboy’s garage every other day for months and ordering bits and bobs. As a result I’ve not only fully serviced my Triumph, I’ve also taken it from a factory standard model to something that turns heads and starts conversations everywhere I go. Last week I wrapped the exhausts, today I put new short, shinny black break and clutch levers on. I always thought I would need a double garage with 5 grands worth of tools before being able to start tinkering with my bike in this way, but I’m doing all this in the driveway with a motorbike socket set, a standard tool box and an iPad. 😬

Hi Del, nice professional job as usual, unlike myself, who went for the Blue Peter version, first set of indicators were flashing a lot faster, then I got another set, wired the same way and now nothing flashes, untill I switch one over to an old indicator but still fast. fancy a trip up to Scotland to sort it out? Ive got Cake : )
@Moonfleet419 жыл бұрын
+streetbob883 WHat indicators are you using mate??? Are they LED's cos if so, you need resistors, not expensive to buy (about tenner a pair) and not difficult to fit (I can talk you through it)... the resistors replace the current draw lost by the LED'sand fool the relays into thinking you still have regular bulbs... and if something isn't flashing at all, then you may have accidentally made a short and popped a fuse, so check the fuses as well ! PS. you can send the cake on lol !

I like that FEK or tail tidy, looks stronger than the one I had on my Thruxton that bounced all over the place with the weight of the rego plate...ended up being grabbed by the rear tyre. The police were clamping down on the angle of rear plates so I fitted a matt black rear mudguard with a LED Lucas light on a Maundspeed mount. The EFI Thruxton has a longer swing arm decreasing the clearance between the tyre & rego plate. Might see if I can just pick up the bracket from Motone Cheers Terry

Hi Del, I do think that looks nice and sporty, and if my rear fender was plastic id go for it,but I hate to waste good steel, unless its banged from a wreck or messed up. Also, I like leds but when the individual lites start dying, it looks like rubbish. I think they make replaceable single LEDs, but I guess that defeats the look of two dozen tiny lamps. I do like the look of the wide rear tire with a minimal fender. Nice look my friend, thanks for the vid.

Excellent vid! Do you have any input on clearance issues between Motone's Lucas and Miller style taillight/ fender assemblies? I like the Lucas, but to be different, I kind of want to put on the stainless steel Miller, but wonder if there is a greater chance of the tire eating the license plate bracket. Yes, they do indeed have some great parts, just wish they would take the trouble to make some instructions seeing as their parts are bought by private owners who fit things themselves, and not shops... wouldn't take them long, and would be a much better all round service..!
@TheOringinalBRadRaps8 жыл бұрын
Moonfleet41 they could print a piece of paper all that work then just skip the package and documents. I meant tec has nice bits I am looking at the same exhaust as on this bike.
@TheOringinalBRadRaps8 жыл бұрын
trying acusta-fil from the uk in my emgos as they sounded nice when i packed them but that is a pain, if that blows out the quicker I will get the tracker exhaust.

The only problem with multi LEDs, is when the individual lights start to fail. At least that's how car LEDs are. Maybe the newer ones u can replace individual bulbs. Single LEDs are nice though. I wonder if cutting the original rear fender would be a thought, rather than spending money on a tiny piece of sheet aluminum. Guess though u wouldn't have a rolled end,like the factory fender has. Looks good.

Perfect!! is these bikes good 2 up are they and if so what luggage/saddle bags can you put on with the high level exhaust.would be my dream bike if u can get abit of storage for them and good 2up.not much room under the seat lol great video once again :)
@Moonfleet419 жыл бұрын
+jayson s Hi mate, not ridden the Scrambler two up, we have the Tiger for that, they do have luggage options though, a rack and side bags can be bought either direct from Triumph in thier accessory range, ir aftermarket....its just a matter of searching out what you need.
@jaystarmini9 жыл бұрын
cheers for the info.couldnt afford multi bikes so i think these would be the perfect bike for me.like the look of the headlight guards and a set of panniers just wasnt to sure if the high level exhaust would like to melt it aswell lol.get one of these to corner well and that cam the scrambler has and exhaust would be heaven to my ears around the coast

I was so impressed with Triumph after I changed my signals and removed the fender. Triumph made it so simple to change everything out. As you have shown, it's all "plug n play" basically. ...... By the way, October 28 is the big day right??

Help us out PLEASE!! 2017 OR 2015 BONNY T100???? I love the sound of the 270 crank in the 2017 bonny, but how much different is the 360 in the older model??? Is an extra £1500 for the newer bike (used prices) worth it?? Abs, led light, USB, not sure I need all that, but the wider wheels are a bonus, and the the slightly bigger cc. Dunno? Air cooled, water cooled??? Ahhhhhh 😆

Hi Del, just bought a t100 and looking for a "tail tidy" upgrade and matching front indicators, to make the first smaller improvements over the stock config. Just like you installed. Great vid btw! I didn't catch the name where you ordered the parts. Could you tell me where you got them from? Cheers!

proper job with proper parts 300 odd quid to be honest I don't think that's bad at all. Do it right do it once absolutely stunning it's made all the difference The Triumph isn't normally my cup of tea but this one's got me thinking 👍

+John “b4nk51e” Banks Thanks John, the great thing with the Triumphs is that they are a pretty blank canvas, so if you're not quite chuffed with the look, you can stamp your own mark on it !

Really useful and informative Dell, thank you, looks awesome, I think my bike will come out the other side of hibernation looking differently. I don’t know if it’s just me, I don’t like the look of the regulator, think I would like that out of the way somehow, may not be possible, I don’t know! Bike is looking very nice though. One thing, loving the look of your chain guard, can I ask where you got that from?
@Moonfleet416 жыл бұрын
Hi buddy, I've heard of people putting the reg rec up under the tank out of sight, but it's meant to be in an areas of cool air flow, so I wouldn't recommend that... you could put it on the frame tubes under the horn, rather than on the headstock, where it still gets lots of cooling air.... and the chain guard was from Motone... good luck with your projects, appreciate your support mate !

Brilliant Video. After watching this ill be saving up for a tail tidy rear. as the original plastic looks crap. are universal tail tidy any good on ebay
@Moonfleet419 жыл бұрын
+Ramesh Patel Hi Ramesh, I would not go for a universal tail tidy, as this undertray plate fits the bike beautifully, will keep the water out of the electrics and do the job properly... anything universal will need more skills to adapt it, so it fits properly !
@rambo5k8469 жыл бұрын
+Moonfleet41 ok cheers. will save up for a tail tidy fit for my bike. i need some indicators for my front bike. are universal indicators anygood plug and play. thanks

Great video. The brackets for the front indicators go around the forks, how do the forks pass through the brackets, I'm obviously being stupid. Can I also say I wish Lisa my wife was as passionate about bikes as Penn is. Love the vids keep them coming, some Harley next please. Ta Ian.
@jaimielibbi19 жыл бұрын
Had my first ride on my Harley today 8 weeks after my operation, a quick go as I'm still not pain free, took it about 2 miles, it was only when I go back that I realised its not taxed and on a SORN, oops.
@Moonfleet419 жыл бұрын
+Jaimie Walsh You clearly didn't watch the video Ian!! I guess that's the cost of clicking to the end and watching the results, we do take the trouble with these videos to film everything in detail so that you can see how things work in close up, had you watched the full video mate, you would have seen that the bracket is hinged and opens up to fit round the fork leg and bolt in behind it... I showed it both when we opened the packet and revealed the brackets, and again when I fitted it to the fork leg.... !! Glad to hear you got out on your bike, nothing like a ride on a Harley to settle the soul! Glad to hear you are on the mend mate...
