We've been drinking our raw milk for several years now with absolutely no issues. Our youngest began drinking raw goats milk at 6 months of age. We keep everything as clean as possible and refuse to cut corners in the handling of the milk. I would encourage everyone research how the milk industry got to where it is now and you will see why they do and say the things they do (hint... they are a "for profit" industry).

Raw milk did miracles for my son who dislocated his shoulder and fractured the socket. The doctor was amazed at how quickly it healed and it helped avoid any surgery. He has had zero issues in the 3 years since.

I was raised on raw goats milk my mother wasn't able to produce enough milk and I wasn't able to tolerate formula so what did the doctor suggest? GOATS MILK! This was back in the 80s but still and people have been ingesting raw milk for centuries. People are beginning to change the way they are looking st their food myself included so thank you for sharing this information. I am with you on the oyster thing, parasites anyone 🤢

I really enjoyed this video and the only caveat I would add to this is that it is not recommended before 12 months old to feed goat milk to an infant. The protein content is to high compared to human milk. I am a nurse and a lactation consultant, so I feel it is important to share this information. I started raw milk several years ago because of many similar health benefits to human milk and am giving it to my family/children as well. I have even traveled long distances to purchase it. But I would not introduce before one year old. The high protein levels are hard on a young infant’s kidneys and it’s just not a good developmentally appropriate option in an infant. If you think about it, baby goats are walking sometimes within minutes and require much more protein for their developing muscles versus human infants who are not walking for usually almost a year. This is not to judge anyone who has done this without knowing all the factors involved but just sharing information to help us all give our families the best we can. ❤️ (Additionally as big of an raw milk advocate as I am, I do not believe in taking a one-sized approach to our health. If you are new to raw milk please do your research before making a big decision like this for your family, read some books discussing the raw milk conversation and know the factors involved, know the risks and benefits, evaluate if it is a good idea for each individual family member ie is anyone immunocompromised etc, and ensure all animals being used for raw milk are tested for any communicable diseases that transfer via 🥛.) So that would mean cows milk wouldn’t be any better for an infant, right? Besides buying breast milk from a bank (is that what it’s called?), what would be best for an infant? Is there a raw milk option for 12 month and under babies?

Delci • A Life of Heritage if a mother’s own breast isn’t an option or the quantity is not sufficient, human donor milk is a great option! There are a lot of milk banks around the country now to ensure the milk is safe and healthy. The milk comes from healthy, tested, non-smoking mothers. Many neonatal intensive care units are even using it ❤️

Hello, I am new to goats milk. I just bought my first gallon yesterday. Before I bought, I never read up on it. I have severe anxiety. So you imagine, when I read all the possible insights to it. I was overwhelmed. I tried about ¼of a cup, very cold. After drinking, I got a metallic taste I believe. I became very concerned. Still some fat left on top. What should I be concerned with. Can I freeze it, use for biscuits. I do not want to waste. It. I did not ask about pasteurization, seeing she has a farm with tons of goats, cow, ect. Should I ask, what should I do. Any advice is appreciated. Tysvm

Last year Montana revised the law on selling raw milk. You can buy raw milk at farmers markets from "small" dairies. Small is based on the number of dairy animals that are in milk. But we got dairy goats last year and will be milking time soon! 🎉🎉

I looked up how long does goat milk last 3-5 days. I know that is not true but how long does it last? Also they say they double filter it, is that necessary? Seems like it will filter cream.

I have Nigerian dwarf goats and my family are wanting to start drinking their milk. We are new to this so do I need to get my goats tested for anything before we start drinking the milk?

There is a once a year blood draw that is required in Montana. It's a biosecurity screen and tests for CL, CAE/OPPV and Johne's. And you can also get a sample of the milk and send it away for testing too. It's a really interesting process and you'll get all the info on all the bacteria that's in the milk and how much and if it's dangerous. And the best thing you can do on your end, is keep everything really clean: Your jars, milking bucket, and clean the teets. Keep your goats healthy.

I can only tell you what I would personally do. I can't give any decided answer for you and your situation. I know where my goat milk is coming from. I keep my goats healthy and the milking procedure very clean, so I have full confidence in my milk. If I had a baby and couldn't breast feed I would use my goat milk to feed them. But like I said, I can't say for the milk you have because I don't know the herd and the milking process.
