While I don’t agree with The Mane Five being clones of The Mane Six in ANG, Zaid’s discussion about G5 continuing G4 has aged like fine wine. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt after the movie but it only got worse. Not just in continuity but in writing, songs, animations, and just about anything after the movie.

This is another one that aged surprisingly well, now that we know how disappointing G5 turned out so far, especially because they went with the Happy Ending Override just to give Sunny a goal, which was already done to Beast Wars when Beast Machines was made. I know good times don't last forever, but it shouldn't have happened this soon into Twilight's reign. The only thing that hasn't aged well would probably be Pipp because while she ended up being the least popular of the Mane 5 around the time the movie came out, she has now become the most developed of the 5 due to Tell Your Tale & because of how the others' characterizations are seen as stagnating, especially Sunny.

I wouldn’t say Pipp is that well-developed, given that she doesn’t have that much personality outside of being a tech addict. Really, the only member of The Mane Five you can describe with more than one word is Izzy

Sad that mlp g5 tyt got canned. Glad that g5 comics will continue after tell your tale ends. I really hope the g5 comics will tie up all the loose ends for allura and the alicorn city skyros

Using that as a comparison is like saying goats cannot give milk or babys. It's not the some thing! Jesus Christ! Everytime ponys use that as a excuse just to hate "Magical Mystery Cure" even more! "Magical Mystery Cure" is beautiful and wonderful and the songs are spot-on!

0:47-0:54 First time I saw this, I'm like..."what the hell am I even looking at?!", and I still think that. Are those unicorns doing a demented prayer dance to some demented CPU goddess, or is it because the movie makers, in order to appease this new generation of children who are being stupidly raised on iPads, iPhones, streaming services, etc., as a result can't sit still and have no attention spans nor social skills, put it in there along with the film having an ADHD-esque pace (stuff of which can also cause anxiety if kids watching it are autistic) so kids wouldn't get bored and turn the TV off? Even when you listen to the way the line "You said a bad word!!" is delivered, the animation suggests that the colt is horrified, but by the vocal tone, it sounds like the VA is about to *burst into laughter,* knowing this scene was stupid and obnoxious. Nevertheless, I mostly agreed with Zaid here, I do NOT accept G5 nor consider it canon (although Joshscorcher did a better job explaining why this movie doesn't work), the only thing I disagree with is Sunny "not being a Mary Sue" when she practically is.

A bunch of his friends got mad at him for sending messages to people stalking and harassing him and stopped being friends with him. And that hit him so hard he just deleted his channel. I honestly don't understand what the big fucking deal is. Threatening messages are just a thing that happens on the Internet and it's not like he was sending them to innocent people, it was sent to kiwifarms tier psychos.

Personally I don’t really mind g5 continuing from g4 mostly because I joined the fandom a bit before the g5 movie trailer came out and I never got to experience what it was as like being a fan during g4 and what the fandom was like, I want to know a little of that feeling when g4 was still going. Also I feel like they have good ideas but bad execution in the story. Here’s hoping it gets better
