I can’t stand people only relating WV to John Denver. The guy wasn’t in WV when inspired, wasn’t from WV, the blue ridge mountains aren’t even in WV (we have the Appalachian mountains), and the Shenandoah River is BARELY in WV (like literally barely borders it), so as a West Virginian I absolutely despise Country Roads. Almost everything most people know about WV isn’t true and it’s so frustrating.
