Delhi HC Seeks Police’s Reply On Plea To Quash FIR Over Mahua Moitra's Tweet Against NCW Chief

The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Delhi Police in response to a petition filed by Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra. Moitra is seeking the quashing of a First Information Report (FIR) lodged against her for allegedly derogatory remarks made about National Commission for Women (NCW) Chief Rekha Sharma.
The court has requested the police's response and scheduled the matter for hearing on November 6. The Delhi Police filed a FIR against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra over a post on the social media site in which she criticized the National Commission of Women chief Rekha Sharma on July 4. Though Moitra later deleted the post, it has created substantial legal trouble for the TMC leader.

@@jonron3805 Rahul Gandhi recently appeared in Sultanpur court in connection with a defamation case related to his comments on Amit Shah. Case was filed by Vijay Mishra (Not Amit Shah) on august 4,2018. So, do you mean to say that Amit Shah was "dumb" because he did not filed defamation case personally? The earlier comments of Rekha Sharma on Sonia Gandhi has already been submitted in court , wait for the outcome.

She used the popular vimoh statement that modi govt won but his nada of pajama( seat of PM ) is not in his hand, mahua used the word as bjp lost in vital seats in up, so rekha trying to protect pm chair (as earlier referred nada of pajama or seat of PM)
