Also with that Danfoss board in the box up at the condenser, that’s a I/O board with relays along the bottom of it. There’s a common, normally open and normally closed for each relay and usually like 8 total relays along the bottom there. The coil voltage for the condenser fan motor contactors are wired to the relays so the main controller tells that board to energize or de energize the relay to turn the fans on or off. You could have one single condenser fan for each relay on the board or multiple fans controlled by one relay single relay on the board just depends how it was installed. The switches you were hitting were relay overrides to turn the relay on or off manually. When you turned the relay to the on position at the switches it energized the relay and the common to normally closed contacts were then open and the fans shut off. they typically will wire the condenser fans on the normally open contact so if the controller fails the relay will be open and keep the fans running as a fail safe

Do y’all got any type of head pressure control for low ambient temperatures down there? In Pennsylvania we have all different types like Head masters on single units which allows discharge gas to bypass the condenser and go directly in to the receiver and force liquid out of the receiver down to the box/case. And on racks sometimes they have an A8 On the liquid line to hold back liquid and flood the condenser to keep head pressure up. Split condensing is on like every rack up here too so they can shut down half the condenser in winter time. There’s all sorts of different ways but wasn’t aware if it’s cold enough to have all that down there where you’re at

Yes we do have same similarities up where you at like head master for single units and split condensing. Also depending on the equipment we have main controller cycles fans off or fan cycle switches on condensers.
