I did the OD on mine the same way except I used a plain toggle swich. I like yours with the lighted switch better, nice Job. Do you happen to have a video of swapping out the JDM radio for a domestic DDIN in the Delica? That's my next project. Thanks Mr Miyagi

When I bought mine it already had the changed out but I've had to pull the radio out to do something and it's pretty simple just hook it up the way you do in a domestic car. Thanks for watching.

Hi, awesome video, I am looking to do this to my 1995 L400 but wanted to clarify the wiring into the switch please. I am looking to use a non luminated rocker switch that is on/off/on can you give me a little more giudence on how to wire this into the wires from the dash. sorry to be a numpty. Dave

I ran my wires from the pump through the firewall and tried in to fuse box with a fuse wire adapter . Which you can buy on line at Amazon. Any other questions I'll be fun to answer. I'll be 4x4 this weekend so I'll be off line... Thanks for watching.

cut the blank you removed to fit the new switch in it.

Yes, I used the blank cutout to the proper size to fit the new small switch so it would fit in the dash. Thanks for watching.

A good fix but I'm curious as to why you'd buy one of these things when there are so many vans available in North America. Given that it's RHD I gather they are not sold there so you (or someone) must've imported it. Are they common there? I live in Australia and wanted a large van with a V-8 and all power options but there is no such thing on the market here so I had to import a 1988 Ford Econoline. When you do that, you sit on the 'wrong side' and have a vehicle that the Ford (or whatever) dealers never sold so know nothing about, no parts are available so all must be sourced in the home country and shipped out, you hope you'll never need body panels, talking to other owners is almost impossible (I've met one so far in seven years), etc. BTW, Delicas were never sold here either but several used car dealers started importing them and you see quite a few around these days. At least we had a large Mitsubishi presence until a few years ago and they are RHD and I did consider one before I decided on the Ford. In short, is owning a RHD Delica in the US like me owning a LHD Econoline in Australia?

Well we really enjoy it . It's a great vehicle for us and parts are somewhat available here in the states although I've bought a lot out of Australia and Japan. We have quite the following here in the area where I live so it's somewhat easy to find what you need or information. I had a Ford Econoline van years ago but it wasn't four-wheel drive so it didn't suit my purpose. As for driving on the righthand side I got used to it fairly quick kind of freaks people out when my wife is in what they think is the driver's seat and she's sleeping or reading a book it's quite funny actually. Well I hope everything works out with the Ford van the delicas working out fine for us. Cheers and thanks for watching
