Good Stuff brother. Just discovered your channel yesterday and you are a lifesaver. I just bought a 1996 Delica that has been sitting for about 10 years. You have made what looked like a very overwhelming task of restoring it very easy. The engine is in good condition and started up once we connected the battery, it's rust free bar a few scratches on the exterior body, nothing new paintwork can't fix. It has also been previously vandalized where they broke the rear(middle) right window to get to the center console and radio. One side mirror is also loose. That's all that's missing in this car. It also needs a whole new rework on the wheels. What steps would you recommend I take to get this beautiful machine back on the road. Also do you mind doing a video showing how to replace the rear windows and how to fix a side mirror that's loose? I think the internal spring is busted and it won't fold and just moved all over the place. Keep up the good work. More Delica videos will help the community maintain these behind for years to come.

Yes, that switch is well recorded problem all over the world . I have 50k mile l400 and that switch is stuck doesn't click out, the best part is it came in from Japan with working switch, I have clicked it maybe twice in my ownership and only recently discovered that it is broken, no idea why, I suspect old brittle plastic. There is a fix for this too but that method leaves something broken underneath the switch, can't remember the details. I think replacing it is a better option, even if one must buy new shifter.
