Great video. I just test drove a pajero two days ago, that I was thinking about buying. Seller didn't say anything. I noticed it was doing the same thing, 100km/h @ 3500 RPM!! And it was a 3.5l V6 petrol! Now this video confirmed my suspicion. Thank you

I have a delica Mitsubishi engine 4j11 and we had to replace the entire engine with another 4j11 but it seems tat engine is 4j11 of an outlander . The car is running perfect well after fitting it but it won't go beyond the speed of 20 . The mechanic says it can't read the computer box cause my delica is of 2012 I think and the engine tat we have replaced is 2016 . Do you have a solution for this if we can bypass and make the car run properly or bypass or clear the firmware

Excellent explanatory video, I don't know if you can help me, I have an L400 and the problem I have is the following: I have the A/T light constantly flashing even if the vehicle is off, and likewise the super select light on the front ones, check the cables and everything looks good, the vacuum hoses and also, I changed the speed sensor and the vacuum goes and it continues the same, I got the error code with pin 1 and ground and a half 11, a long light and a short one, I don't know what to do anymore if it's due to bad ground or something alternator I don't know, the overdrive is activated with the normal button and it is deactivated and I don't see a fault, it doesn't grab 4th gear I'm going to 100km at 3000rpm help

I have 2002 Delica that does change gear why’ll under throttle go back to half throttle then changes to next gear hove you had this problem

First, I will check TPS sensor for any intermittent open and resistant values. What year is your Delica?

awesome work mate. I have a 1994 Delica 2.8 Automatic and my rpm at 100kmh is 2800, on the Delica Forums and FB groups almost everyone says that´s normal but you show otherwise. I have changed the ATF 2x and the filter recently, shift smooth, OD is clearly engaging but I have no idea why the rpm´s are so high, I don´t feel like the torque converter is slipping. It is my first Delica, have no previous experience but I own a Toyota KZJ78 Prado with Automatic transmission which is pretty much the same gear box, 3speed+OD (A343F) and I have regeared differentials from 4,33 to 4,88 and still the rpm at 100 is 2600. I run 30x9,5xR15 Maxxis AT

I think od engaged but tc didn’t lock up. Mine doesn’t shift very well so I can feel the tc lockup and it drop the rpm a bit. @100kph should be around 2500rpm with standard tyre after tc locked up.

@@Aeronuts. the strange thing is that when I accelerate from when OD is engaging there is no slipping of TC, it pulls hard and only kicks down when you floor the pedal. is there different gearing for S1 and S2 or mechanical pump vs efi ?

Hi.. i just want to know in which speed the OD gear start working in space gear..in my van i have seprate switch for the over drive. Indications are perfectly working but i can feel the gear doesnt change to 4th or 5th..

Hi, thanks for the great video. I have replaced my OD button with a rockewr switch, however even before the replacement if I pulled the 10 amp fuse from the ELEC4 slot the OD light still did not come on. any ideas on where to llok next for finding the fault? cheers Dave

Lol you are calling out all the issues I have video by video . I am lucky as my OD switch is broken in on position (clicked in). However, very little chance finding second hand gearshift lever with working switch. They aren't too expensive brand new in Nippon land ($120) but shipping kills it. I presume you salvaged yours from one of the breakers you had access to before?

Hey buddy! Sounds like all our Dalicas have same issues more or less. I pick up extra Delica parts every time I come across ones to save them for later. I picked this one from the wrecker used for 15$.
