Hi, I'm so glad you like this recipe. It's January, and I decided to make more festive dishes after a whimsical December full of celebrations. The next recipe will be pork tenderloin, and I'd love to see you there!

Thank you! That's a good question. I would make the marinade for the chicken from soy sauce, Shaoxing wine (it's a must), lemon juice, and garlic (granulated or powdered). The sauce that goes in at the end, I would go sweet. It goes well with both lemon and chili. So I would use soy sauce, vinegar, and honey (I like honey better than sugar, but if you don't have honey, then sugar). Of course, you need starch for the marinade and sauce.

@ValorWilson You can use both, but if I put hoisin sauce, I wouldn't put dark soy sauce anymore.

I wrote it in captions. For marinating meat, I used 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, about 1 tablespoon of Shaoxing wine, and 1 teaspoon of starch. For sauce, I needed 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of black vinegar, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of starch.

How are you suppose to make this when you’re not told all the ingredients except of course the pork, garlic, cabbage, carrots🤷🏻‍♀️
