Red Bean Paste Recipe: • Easy to make red bean ... and wp.me/p8790g-j0
Obanyaki or Imagawayaki is a popular Japanese Pancake usually filled with red bean paste. In this recipe I will show you how to make soft and fluffy pancakes. I’ve also added different fillings for a variety of flavours. As an added bonus, I will also show you how easy it is to cook “sunny side up” eggs in the Obanyaki mould.
Try this recipe, it is well worth it.

Chef Eddie, I’ve never seen an obanyaki? Is it like a takoyaki in a different shape? Or the soft pancakes you see with red bean paste? They’re usually free form. Some kind of pan?

It's the soft pancakes usually with red bean paste fillings. Something like those fish shaped pancakes. Takoyaki is different.

You might be thinking of DORAYAKI? Sweet pancakes with filling, but just made on a flat pan. I'm just a cooking hobbyist, watching a lot of KZbin... I've seen this kind of form used to make things that are sort of like Dorayaki, or sort of like Takoyaki, or sort of like Okonomiyaki!, or sort of like Taiyaki! I'm starting to see the point of this, since it organizes the cooking process a little, and also gives the customer something they can just eat out of their hand. I've never seen this in life, only on KZbin. Anyway, it's easy to buy the special pan, and the ingredients we already have, so I'm thinking about it. Lots of creative possibilities here. Personally I like red bean paste, and you can buy it here in plastic bags. A Japanese lady once pointed out to me that you could cut a little corner off that package, and it would act like a pastry bag, and you could squeeze a little filling into something without touching it.

My wife bought it from a make shift stall at Bedok Market. You can get them online like Lazada, Shopee, AliExpress but without the design. Search for "egg pancake 4 hole mould"
