Dessert Plating Tips
Ingredients:
4 cups of bread (stale or day-old bread, cubed)
2 cups of milk (you can use whole, almond, or any milk of your choice)
3 large eggs
1 cup of sugar (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional)
1/4 cup of raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
Butter (for greasing the baking dish)
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Bread:
If your bread isn't stale, toast it in the oven for about 10 minutes until it's slightly crispy. This helps prevent the pudding from becoming too mushy.
Mix the Custard:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
Combine:
Add the cubed bread to the custard mixture. If using, fold in the raisins or chocolate chips. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the custard.
Grease the Baking Dish:
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
Bake:
Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Bake for 30-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Serve:
Let it cool slightly before serving. You can serve it warm or at room temperature. Drizzle with caramel sauce, maple syrup, or a scoop of ice cream for extra indulgence.
