You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat someone “beneath” them: servers, cooks, cleaners, other staff etc. It seems that a lot of Princess Di’s staff have nothing but fond memories of her and of her being kind to them. She clearly valued having Darren and his friendship in her life, she even liked and trusted him enough to let him hold one of her precious babies. I remember seeing a magazine with her wedding picture (it was probably a tribute to her because it was a new issue), and to little 6 year old me, it was basically mind blowing to see a real picture of a princess. She looked exactly like the princesses in the storybooks I had (beautiful, blonde, big elegant dress). I can’t even imagine what being in the same room as her would have been like. I was only a little girl, so I had no idea that Diana had already passed from this world, nor did I know of the horrible things she had to go through. She died way before I was even born. I can’t help but think of all the people who were happy simply by her being around them. She may have passed away young, but she will surely never be forgotten.

Living on the other side of Europe, my grandma and mom always had fascination with British Royals, especially Diana, for some reason. My mother read somewhere that stuffed peppers were Diana's fav dish, and she would make them at least once a week when in season. After Di died, the dish took on additional meaning...
