Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

You should try make an airdrop kind of challenge, you drop an explosive cube like in this video but each person has to make their own type of parachute along with the plane to drop the package with! Closest person to the target/bullseye is the winner :) Edit: to measure the distance from the bullseye and the airdrop, one person stands on each item so you can use the distance meter ontop of the characters to find the distance/score

So like, one plane with two cockpits a good distance apart, separate control surfaces and separate controls for the two halves, but also there's just a big bomb in the middle for some reason? It's like the Star Wars' Cloud City speeders, except with a larger bomb between them.

Small builds but each only using 1 thruster/engine. Upgrade the single thruster and weapons instead of just the weapon for each round. Do one video for the small thruster and one for the lager ones. Engines could possibly be in one video.

i feel like once a video is over, the really cool vehicles made get thrown away, and i really like some of your old builds. so i thought, what if you reused your favorite or best builds either from MM or one of videos. you could pit an all purpose transformer against a rapid fire rocket plane. this can be redone with different themes like recycled planes, recycled cars, recycled battle bots. furthermore, you could go back to a bunch of old builds and improve them in a single video with your new knowledge and the new mechanics. not restricted to trailmakers, but i do see SM gearing towards that nowadays. makes sense tbh. more ongoing updates and versatility in TM.

idea for next scrap mechanic hide and seek: find the spudgun Seeker starts empty handed, hiders also hide the spudgun. That means seeker needs to find the spudgun first, and THEN start start looking for hiders

it'd be really cool if you guys could do something with ornithopters. maybe like a capture the flag, but the flag is dynamite if you think that's too boring. i'd really like to see more of these challenges on the high seas map. the winds and the waves would have really added that extra element you were looking for to increase the difficulty.

Would still love to see a Trailmakers battle (land or air, your choice) where you have shields that you can only take out with EMP weaponry before you're allowed to shoot the creation with ballistic weapons only.

Hey Scrapman, you could do the same fort battle that you did in scrap mechanic in trailmakers, there is more possibilities for weapons and armor. Could use like some mortars or something to become more difficult.

idea for trailmakers: the creations where you put hoverblocks on servos so they can spin fast and you can stay still on the water, but with emps so the servos can get disabled, and the hoverblocks will stop spinning wich will make you fall in the water

Considering how efficient your drones turned out to be for this one, you guys should try doing it in reverse now Put the packages on the boats and set them to automatically detach after X seconds, then you have to catch up to boats, pick up your package with grabber blocks (tractor beams might work, but might be too easy or might pick up the entire boat), and return to the aircraft carrier where you carefully detach the grabbers and your package. And, if you wanna turn it up a notch, you can try doing it on the High Seas map instead so that the waves and wind will add an extra challenge

challenge idea: you build a boat but in sections, where you have a front section with one turret, a middle section with two sideways facing stationary weapons, and a back section with another turret (optional), and each round you add another middle section. whether the sections are hinged or not is up to you

What you should do is a timed explosive rescue where you put a big dynamite (Like the one in this video) inside the aircraft carrier and each player has to pick up the bomb and drop it some ways away before it explodes but have a creation near it so if the creation near the bomb gets destroyed by the bomb when time runs out on it they don't get a point! maybe set the bombs to like 3 minutes or something like that so it puts pressure on everyone. Note: All players must survive to get a point after dropping the bomb into the water or land.

How about a sky hook challenge. You need to build a vehicle that can safely catch a block of explosives that lunches itself from the ground with some constant velocity. If that seems too easy, than as an added challenge, you vehicles must be powered by a pair of always on rocket engines (the big ones, of course).

...Same drone with giant TNT box idea but a 1 v 1 challenge where one person's in the boat and the other the drone where the boat is about double the size and only 1 TNT box is allowed (no giant drone that can drop 3 or more at once). Boat can use the Medieval style cannon (if there's a way to control the cooldown/how long it reloads than manipulate it so each shot needs about 3 to 5 seconds to reload so the drone has a window to drop the package) and drone can only drop when within half of the cannon's range. Winner is based off whoever's boat lasts the longest per round across 2 rounds (1 if they wind up being long)...whether you want to do the race around the island as another way the boat wins/gets an additional point if they make a full lap is up to you. Drone obviously has unlimited respawns so they can get their TNT back. Only other requirement is the drone must be faster than the boat (otherwise the boat can just run away forever...focus should be shooting the drone down or dodging the TNT package at the last moment).

i want - no NEED - more mayhem and chaos. so, how bout get rid of the limitations you could pit a max complexity, 99 power core tank with armor plating throughout and 60 shields vs a tiny 4 power core vehicle with glitches galore. as a debut you could have a free for all on danger island. one person on each corner. you just fly, drive, hover - whatever you want. then, whoever is still alive by the end, is crowned the victor. then branch off with all the other game modes. im talkin dog fights, battle bots, team battles etc. MORE CHAOS. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD.

You should have a challenge where there is a huge boat and you and another person have to try and take it out first person to get the finishing shot on the big boat wins. Rules: 2 bombs max (no matter what size), unlimited power cores, no gyro's, and the only weapon can be TNT nothing else.

take a wagon wheel. put it on a free floating bearing and place wedges on the edges (badoom ching) of it. then, take a separate wedge and attach it to a powered bearing next to it. if done correctly, the wedge on the bearing should spin, pushing on the other wedges, spinning the wheel. what you now have is a wheel, spun. by. wedges. i posted a diagram in video ideas
