I’m a personable type guy and love interacting with customers. A smile and a handshake goes a long way where I live. I will be stacking for someone and sometimes hear… ”Want some coffee? Water? How bout a beer.” No electronic transactions at all.

I consider myself fortunate to have a woodyard landlord that is an AirBnB rental owner. He's spread the word to his property neighbors and one of them referred me to a person in the same dead-end road for a splitting job. Is an honor to be thiught of so highly by those people and hear about the referral. I don't get a lot of salws from them, but the good word among them will pay-off in the future. It takes time to vuild a great firewood clientele.

If you're earning referrals, then you're doing something right.

👍 keep them sales coming. 🪵 Trees are looking good 🌲hope you have a great season. Boy I thought it was about a month ago I said that to you. Time is surely flying.

Great video Phil, I definitely agree that each market for firewood is different and you service what works for your market. Your market is a mix of Joe at Ohio Wood Burner and Chris from In The Wood Yard, the same element carries over no matter what, customer service. 👍🏻👍🏻

Phil yes it's getting that time of year for sure. I've got several deliveries going out this weekend and the phone keeps dinging with new messages. I think the website increases traffic, but there are still a ton of Marketplace folks out there as well. I'm planning to pull my Marketplace adds later on in the season and just stick with the website going forward. Take care stay safe.

There is two types of money. Budgeted money or F off money. Way easier to get the second. Take care Phil. Good vid.

I just found your trailer. great stuff. I have looked a while to see if you had a video on the wood stove kiln. i only saw videos on the solar kiln. Can you direct me to one where you discuss the stove aspect of it?

Good point. I don't get many older customers.

Good to see sales kicking up. They are very slow here in WI. Do you mind sharing what you get for a full cord, half and face?
@WoodsTreeFarm3 ай бұрын
I don't really sell much bulk wood. Facecord 209.99, 1/6 cord 118.99, plus delivery. Once I'm about half way thru my inventory I don't sell facecords any more and just do smaller orders to maximize revenue per cord.
@jon513 ай бұрын
@@WoodsTreeFarm good to know. Wish I could charge that around here. Facecord I’m lucky to get $100 for. That’s one thing that is crazy about the firewood business is the price differential.

How has that Titan worked out for you? I’ve thought of getting one. Nissan discontinued making them, sadly.

So far so good. No problems and it's done everything I want it to. I've had it two years and put about 35k miles on it. It's at 85k now
