Starts out kinda corny but get really good. I almost cried i went thru the same thing...but im puerto rican and it was here in the West village in New York City. Guy was a rocker/musician I was a restaurant worker..his friends were so mean to me..eventually it all worked out and we lasted 24 years together until i left lol.

This was pure joy to watch. Pacing was perfect, dialogue witty but not silly, and a musical score to match all the above. It is no small achievement that one falls in love with these characters in just 15 minutes of film. I only would like to comment that Phillip Smith, Eric in the film, is a most promising actor and I am glad that Hugo recognized his qualities.
