Sounds like a misfire or a vacuum leak...a trick is to take brake cleaner and spray it around and listen for a change in engine noises for vacuum leak. Sea foam might clear up the injectiors..You can put an AEM AFR gauge on it and tune the car afterwards. That little turbo timer box or tune box looks a little suss. It may have been turboed... Plus all the racing mods inside this car looks like it was a track/daily driver put back to street mode for sale. I'm loving the content. Cheers Nate! Great starting place. We picked up our ke30 for $5.5k here in the states and it only needs a small patch and some love to the interior 👍

Spray something appropriate to the suspected vacuum leak locations. If the engine note changes, there's your issue. Might be as simple as old fuel (hunting idle) but check the distributor etc for condition/moisture all the same. I'd start with those basics before doing anything else :) Lovely car tho! Very Disco.

Id recommend Vactan rust converter if you need it in places like the boot, its an all in one rust converter and coating which lasts pretty well by itself and will last years and years if top coated over!

You can hear that it's idoling rough. Thats deffo down to bad spark plugs or a dirty fuel injector clogged hoses. Not a bad car though better looking than the tripe thats on the road in 2024!

Probably could be part of the vacuum hoses like you said any slight leak will really throw it off

I have four cars. Two currently with me, as my pickup truck is with the paint shop and has been for a year, when it's done there, it goes back to the fabricators to be assembled, electrics, upholstery etc. my datsun 510 is currently being acid dipped. So where do I keep them? Well, I haven't had to worry about that yet, it's a cross that bridge when we get to it, problem.

Love the way that little car looks. Dont think Ive ever seen one before. Some interesting mods by the previous ownr. The exhaust back box appears to be a motorcycle back box, hence the removable baffle init. Try removing that baffle, just to see how good it sounds without it. Looking forward to more vids on it...
