I had a 1977 V8 304 CJ7. I also had a 1983 CJ7 6-cyl Limited. Watching Dennis walk around these Jeeps makes me wish I had either one of my Jeeps again!

Nice to know if that V8 is a 304,360 or 401ci. I had a 1984 CJ7 with an older 304,I broke a few T5 input shafts and some gears in a T4, Sold it 20 years ago with a sr4. It's probably recycled by now.That was the only Jeep I've ever owned. Love watching this channel to bring back the memories. Thanks Dennis and crew👍🙂

I grew up with jeeps. My favorite one was a brand new one my dad bought in the late 70s. It was a CJ7 Wrangler Levis edition. Gold, with yellow and orange decal package. White wheels with white lettering on the tires. I loved that thing. It rusted so fast.

Omg Dennis you broke my hear today. I had a 79 CJ 7 just like the one you had, same color, except I had a 6 cylinder. At the time I was working for the DOJ in law enforcement and got transferred all over the country. I parked my Jeep after 4 years I decided to sale it because of lack of use. I miss that Jeep every day. I tried to buy it back a couple of years later but the guys teenager totaled it. I’ve been sick ever since 😟😟. Great find. I love your channel ❤️

I'm diggin that '77. I had a '79 with a 304 and Quadratrac, finished in a very similar color which Jeep called "burnt mandarin". I sold it in 1993 when we began to have children. the kids are grown and I just retired, sooo, I have been watching your inventory and hope to see this one go to a good home. Maybe mine lol.

Everyone has the story of "I wish I would have..." Mine is not buying a '70's CJ-7 from eBay 15 years ago. It was an one owner, vacation home jeep that had ridiculously low mileage and had always been garage kept. It had a factory front bench seat, which I thought was really interesting.

Mines not actually a Jeep. It was a 76 F250 4x4. A neighbour owned it and I just didn't have the cash. The one that got away. The one I caught was my 95 YJ. Not the most popular Jeep model but when I saw it up for sale, I had to have it. That was 4 years ago now and I still love driving it.

Over here in the UK we like Jeeps too. I'm driving an 84 RHD CJ7 Renegade. If you thought they were super rare in USA, RHD vintage Jeeps here in the UK are almost non-existent! Try getting an original AMC V8 power steering bracket here in the UK.

Hey Dennis, my 77 CJ7 had the exact same spare tire carrier on the tailgate. I don’t know if mine was factory or after market but I never found any markings or stickers on it but it was repainted before I got it so that may have removed any stickers on it if there were any. That 77 is absolutely gorgeous!!

The transmission in the 79 is the one that I have in my 1979 Jeep CJ-5 258/T-18 4 speed and it's an awesome trans.

Orange is my favorite color, i have a 78 cj5 orange 3 spd v8 levis with blue interior, no power steering. Jeep did some weird color combos lol. Awesome jeeps
