A lot of people give Jack shit all the time, I even did in the past, but he's actually a really brilliant guy, he set up these streams for no personal gain or profit, and over the last couple of years has raised 3/4 of a million for charity, he really is a great guy and doesn't deserve the hate he gets.

Dear Roosterteeth and the Roosterteeth community, Thank You. Thank you for all you have done even when you didn't have to. When I was younger, around 4 years old, I was placed in a Children's Hospital for struggle in breathing and epilepsy (Something I still have to this day). I was treated there for a while until my conditions got better and they did. You guys taking your time, even a weekend, to pitch in and help in donating to a cause not many of us can control. Seeing you guys do something like this every year makes me happy and know that there are still good people here on this Earth that are wanting to help others even if they don't know them. This really does mean a lot and I am glad I even donated to the stream just like most of the community did. Thank you again for doing something you didn't have to do, but wanted to do. I hope you guys read this and best of luck to next year. You can count on my donations for sure. Thank you.

I love this so much. My brother (24) has epilepsy that isn't controlled with medication. He takes so many pills but still gets partial seizures. With his type, surgery would be 50/50, and could damage his brain even more. Thank you for being awesome humans and spreading the word about this Hospital.

It's touching to hear so much of RT contributing to Dell. I live in Australia and I went and had Open Heart Surgery at a children's hospital in Sydney (I was 16 at the time) and I can tell you that children hospitals have their own unique vibe and such lovely staff, and these kids deserves the stress free environment as much as they can.

Why does the epilespy center have a disco ball?
@-BlazeK-10 жыл бұрын
wait wut? wtf....
@Jemuss10 жыл бұрын
The disco ball is slow moving, isn't busy light(not switching colors and not moving rapidly), and the light is soft and easy to look at. It's made for kids with epilepsy, which is awesome because disco balls are cool and not many kids that have epilepsy, their epilepsy doesn't like disco balls.
@bombaclat12310 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same, I'm pretty sure they thought about it properly though hahahaha
@Jemuss10 жыл бұрын
I just got smarter. Thank you
@pluvius926510 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if you all are understanding the point of that room. They _want_ to cause epileptiform activity in those kids' brains so they can see what's causing it and where it is. That's why there's a lot of different forms of visual stimulation in there. Not enough to cause seizures, but enough to cause changes in brain activity.

im not an expert but isn't is kind of silly to put a disco ball in a room that has epileptic kids in it?
@DeNightmare16110 жыл бұрын
the thing is that they want the children to slowly get used to these flashy lights by slowly giving them light stimulus for them to experience.

Denightmare that's rong
@DeNightmare16110 жыл бұрын
MrJoshsss then tell me the reason to the disco ball. for them to party?
@kmvzlh10 жыл бұрын
Disco balls don't set off anything in epileptic people. Only flashing lights such a strobe lights do. Disco balls usually reflect light, so as long as the light in the room is soft and steady that's the type of reflection you will get. (Ps I was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 5 so this is all coming from personal experience)
@cowmanroks10 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure why they have the disco ball spinning but in many multi-sensory rooms they have a box that shoots a light out. Could be a couple of different colours that come out of it or even attachments that change the way the light comes out (fishes, cool pattern with lines). Then one of many things to do in a sensory room is to sit in a chair (their room is the red and yellow rocking chair), have lyric-less music playing and just look at the lights being displayed (off the disco ball). So they are typically able to move the light around themselves (care giver) but you could even just put the light on the disco ball and let it do it's own work. One of the purposes of a multi-sensory room is to be calming; sitting in a dark room watching different colours moving across the room can be calming. So to answer your question, no it wouldn't matter much; however, there are multi-sensory (toys) that Dell Hospital wouldn't be able to have due to the children with epilepsy.
