DELL G15 Review! i5 13450HX & RTX 3050 - Worth Your Money?

I was literally going to buy the previous model of this, the G15. I was in the shop, and the agent was ready to show me, but when the laptop was powered on, it was DOA. I had done plenty of research and always had Dell PCs and laptops in the past. Unfortunately, it was dead. It looked like a firmware issue. No matter what the shop tried, it just would not power on. I was tempted to fix it myself, but my wife said to just pick another laptop. So, I picked the Nitro 5, which was in the same price and feature range as the G15. Who knows, maybe they ironed out the bugs with porting the Alienware Command Center to the model, or they just removed it, LOL. You did a good job with this video.

@@darkknight6890 I got 16 ram variant for 71,000+4,500 for 2 years warranty extension. So 75,500 for 3 years warranty with a bag and a mouse. For this price, I don't see a single con. And regarding display, apart from colour grading tasks, it's good enough( not the best). Few things that could have been there:- 1. Thunderbolt port( even though not everyone can use it properly) 2. 100% sRGB display.(again just loq offers this in this price range) And regarding battery, its a budget gaming laptop and will have a very poor battery. It gives around 2 hours of backup in normal usage with battery mode in allienware software. (You can get 30-40 mins more if you turn battery saver mode on). So that's my complete take over this laptop.

I'm also going with dell G15 for after effects.I want to edit short form. Bro if you are going with this laptop then you have to use an external monitor for color grading because the laptop's display can't give you accurate color because it has 62% sRGB ig. I recommend you to go with lenovo loq either i5 13450HX, rtx 3050 6GB or Ryzen 7 7840Hs rtx 3050 6GB. If you think that lenovo loq Intel variant still has a motherboard dead issue then you can go with the AMD but it's 10-12k more expensive than the intel variant. But you can get 100% sRGB that helps you in color grading. Is the color grading your main priority?

u should if u got budget cuz this is cheap alienware and also that this can handle ml and ai task easily if not at higher college lvl (its not worth if u r at that stage). you can do any kind of programming like web dev, android or ios dev, flutter dev, even intermidiate-ai ml programming (would suffer but make the work thorugh). about gaming it is good. for just 1080p 1440p if u can handle 25-40 fps on AAA title exept cyberpunk i dont know if it would even run on 1440p. and 4k impossible on AAA titles.

Ya but comprise is on the Performance you can get a RTX 4050 at that price I do understand your analysis it's also good that the LOQ can said to be a non compromise Laptop and ya if I was going to buy a new laptop today the LOQ would be my final choice but for someone who is more into doing blender and autocad works The LOQ may not be a good option cause he would need a powerful laptop something like RTX 4050 so LOQ will be a compromise for him.

I think the best non compromise Laptop around 1 lakh is LOQ the Ryzen 7 7840Hs and RTX 4060 plus 100% sRGB display
