I have watched many videos about the Dell G5 SE from you, and I also bought the same laptop with a Ryzen 5. However, I am experiencing a problem. When I try to render a simulation of an architectural model, the laptop is lagging, and I can't even take a 4k video in rendering. Do I need more RAM because I only have 8GB, or is it impossible for me to simulate 4k images with this laptop due to the lagging issue? I need tips from you.

First checkout that the software is running on the dedicated GPU. Some times windows prefer to run those on integrated graphics. Change that from Windows settings in graphics section(to high performance).also check whether hardware encoding is enabled on software. And also for rendering purposes I think it will need at least 16GB of RAM. Otherwise CPU and gpu will be bottlenecked by the RAM. I experienced this on video editing via Adobe premiere Pro. After upgrading now I can edit 4 streams of 4k videos without a hassle. Even then cpu is not taking more than 40%.

Dell G5 15 5500 2.5 hard drive installation Hello Community, Just bought a new Dell G5 15 5500 with only an M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive. According to the manual, it can support an M.2 and a 2.5 HD. When trying to install the 2.5, it does not fit. I have the smaller battery that does not cover the HD bay so that's not the problem. Has anyone been able to get a 2.5 HD installed in their system? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can. But you will need m.2 to SATA converter cable

I want to remove the given original 512gb ssd nvme and add 1tb in it 1st slot I already added 1tb on 2nd slot help me how to do it just want to know the windows installation process I heard in videos like pendrive flash windows ???? Anything if u make video it will be awesome 😎 and also that 7mm space any way add the hdd 🤕 please 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Yeah you will have to install windows again if you're gonna remove the original nvme(assuming windows is installed on that). Installing windows wasn't that hard. First download the windows 11 iso from Microsoft and use Rufus to install it on a pen drive. After that turn off the laptop and change the ssd then while pc turning back on press f10 rapidly to go to boot device option and from there you can choose your bootable pen drive and install windows 11 to the new SSD

No you have to buy it separately. In my case I've used a screw from a toy car😅💔

I installed additional 1tb gen 3 drive. Works perfectly fine. Next is system drive upgrade.
