Bought the Dell just yesterday 3511 but there is a caveat. Dell launched Inspiron 16 series last month which you can get for some 15 Percent price hike than this. It has 12th gen i3 (substantial power jump ), 16 inch FHD display with 16:10 aspect ratio and great panel , 54wh battery (this one has 41wh) and front firing speakers, FHD front camera, Aluminium body, backlit keyboard .. overall much much superior item at extra money. They did not have stock and I needed urgently, otherwise I would have got that model . Limited supply.

dell inspirion 15 (3525) best budget laptop £599 - checked all competetors, Sounds counter intuitive but If you can ingore low battery life and a little bit low quality plastic build it is a good feature packed laptop (again for the price). I got the amd 7 5700u / 16gb ram/ 1tb ssd variant. I bought it for productivity will be using it to mostly write code and maybe some light browsing. I have a gaming pc already so just needed something to be portable.

This is my last time to buy laptop from Dell Inspiron 15 3000. Why?? It is very simple, they still want to use the old RJ45 10/100Mbps and even my 5 year old laptop from Acer used 10/100/1000 Gbps. It is very difference when you connect wired and wireless. Wire RJ45 does have smoother video than wireless. This Dell laptop RJ45 is super old ethernet port.

@@KatWittt I went with the Apple Mac. You could always get a numeric keypad attachment that’s Bluetooth. It can also run excel and Microsoft programs. Talked to the accounting professor and it’s viable he said.

Not directly but the CD drive can be replaced with a ssd or HDD disk caddy which are pretty cheap

Yes both can be upgraded. There is a slot for a 2.5 inch hard drive, bracket and screws are included inside the case. Second, the mvme slot is also upgradable, not sure of the maximum, but

Hi good question, its impossible to say which is the best as they all have things that shine and dont shine about them. Build quality id say the Aspire 5 but performance the MSI Modern has better thermals and battery life. The Dell Inspiron has the best KB/Trackpad of the 3.
