Easy peasy repair. I followed the recommended method of entry via the back cover to replace a failed fan. Took my time and had it done start to finish in less than 45 minutes. Thanks for the video!!

Great video. This one is going to be MUCH easier than the Toshiba AIO I changed years ago. I don't remember the model anymore, but it seemed to have endless screws to remove before the back could come off. Even with a learning curve, I should be finished in 20 minutes this go around.

Hey I have the same all in one I see you have 2x 8gb rams which ones were compatible and also is there any programming if I change the drive and rams ?
No, but you can upgrade the driver to the current chipset.

Thank you! I have to replace the memory on my girlfriend's exact same Model. I called to get the precise product I needed, and now I have to disassemble things the way you did for the hard drive. I presume I don't have to do anything regarding settings on the Dell, before I install the RAM. There's a max capacity for 16GBs, but she only has 12 now; thus, I'll pull out one stick of 4GB, then replace it with an 8. Unless you have any other suggestions, I think I'm good to go! PS: I need to get a guitar pick somewhere! Thanks again!
@computerspecialist85332 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Yes, you should be all good to go by the sound of it. The great news is you can swap the RAM out and power the machine up to be sure it boots before even putting the plastic back together again. The only suggestion I would make is to lay down something soft for the screen to rest against while laying flat to prevent any accidental damage to the LCD. Best of luck!

@@computerspecialist8533 If it's not the RAM causing her computer's lethargy, I now know how to replace the hard drive as well, thanks to you!

You can also use a program like memtest86 to test the memory. It will let you know if your memory is bad / faulty! www.memtest86.com/downloads/memtest86-usb.zip

@@computerspecialist8533 I finally replaced the RAM in her computer. Took out the 4GB, then replaced it with the new 8. Didn't work. Put the old 8 in the 4GB slot, then put the new 8 in the old 8GB's slot. It worked. Seems to run faster, and Properties says she has 16GBs installed. Do you think I did this right, and is there anything else I need to do? Thanks much for your tear apart instructions sir!

Please help. A senior citizen relative busted their screen, and already got a replacement computer, I'm trying to help them transfer data. How do you transfer data, from the same model in your video, with a busted screen, and non-responsive log-in, to a different system?
@computerspecialist85337 ай бұрын
Not sure if you recovered the data yet, but you can use a sata to usb adapter for the hard drive and laplink software to transfer programs and data! Hopefully the hard drive wasn't damaged also!

How do u upgrade le gpu
@computerspecialist85332 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the discrete GPU cannot be upgraded or changed since it is soldered directly to the motherboard. However, the CPU is socketed and can be replaced. Technically you could upgrade to a processor with better integrated graphics to slightly upgrade graphical processing performance.

if you're trying to remove the part that has all your personal info on it (hard drive?) before recycling what part is that? I'd like to just keep that part rather than trying to 'destroy' it. I'll put it with my old computer's hard drive. This whole Windows no longer supported thing coming up in october 2025 is gonna be a pain. Not being a computer person I don't understand why I need to buy a whole new all-in-one, or do I?
@computerspecialist85338 күн бұрын
This would be the hard drive that stores the data. Also you can get Windows 11 to run on this machine, you need to download this go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2156295 then when you run it choose the make an iso open and once you download the ISO then click on that iso and it will mount as a DVD drive. before running setup on this mounted drive download this github.com/AveYo/MediaCreationTool.bat/blob/main/bypass11/Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update.cmd (click down arrow "Download raw file" on top right) and run it first, then run the setup file, make sure you click keep your files etc if you want to keep everything and this will take an hour or so and you'll have Windows 11
