Thanks for the technical description of each one. Something to clarify, using NVMe drives has a higher performance because it uses the PCIe bus lane. The CPU can access this bus lane faster than on a SATA specification.

@BomJimmy4 жыл бұрын
there is no use of using NVMe in a SATA adapter as it SATA has AHCI interface and the NVMe card is made for PCIe interface. SATA has limit of 6Gbps. so it is bettter to buy SSD sata drive for cloning metal drives.

@@BomJimmy bro why does the adapter u.2 (2.5'') for nvme m.2 did exist, I wonder if it works?
@Mr.Smith_Mr.Wesson_andMe3 жыл бұрын
@@ellwalenndhejunny3229 It doesn't matter what is inside the box. The whole thing is determined by the connector to the computer, in this case it's SATA. So you only get SATA quality and not (as suggested) NVME quality. So that at least this "project" can work, the box must have the ability to translate NVME to SATA and vice versa what always goes on cost of speed performance. In the end you won't have even full SATA speed or the box is that much high in price for a hardware coded solution to get the SATA speed goal. Mostly it's an software emulation, i think. Just my 2 pence.
