@@aashayyawale6048 Yes. It was a great upgrade. It has helped a lot to get done more. Adding an SSD has really boosted the performance of my Dell Inspiron. I was using this computer up until last year.

The HDD size limit of 1TB is correct? Is this limit for the caddy or the Optic SATA port? I use a 2TB in the HDD SATA port and it works fine, but I'm afraid that buying a caddy and moving it to the optical place (for a new 2TB I have to buy) wouldn't work because this information, but I couldn't find anything about this further.

first back up data and os to external source. fyi use the sdd as your master drive in the oem spot. reinstall your os. and use the oem drive in the caddy for your data and software.

yes it does matter. the cd/dvd drive slot is not as fast as the slot of your HD. So always put the ssd into the hd slot...

Thanks for a video! I have one question about the connector type u use. SSD is sata 3 right? But where the optical drive connects to the laptop is not sata3. Can the ssd be as fast as it would be if replaced to the default hdd and connecting with sata3? Thank you!

Hey, I was wondering that if I added an SSD then what about power problems. Currently, my optical bay is empty. It has like this plastic thing that is just there for show. It came without optical drive. So if I added an SSD and used original HDD and SSD then wouldn't the system crash because it would use extra power. Maybe the battery could overheat. Would it work?

The GPU is used just for rendering; you will still be using your integrated Intel HD graphics with 4GB memory. I have this laptop and you won't be able to run very new games. League of Legends on medium graphics is fine but anything heavier than that is unplayable

I installed SDD to origin HDD slot, and HDD to ODD slot using Caddybay. But when I restart my Laptop the HDD sound "click" not same as shutdown. I guess my HDD will die soon. Anybody could help me prevent "click" sound when restart. Thanks!

Yes, you can. I replaced the main drive with an SSD almost a year ago, and it has been my only drive since then, aside from the DVD drive.

+Galdor We have tested this on Dell Inspiron 15R, N5110 (Intel Core i5 2450M / AMD Radeon HD 7400M version) and we've made the following conclusion about this - Yes, you can add a second HDD/SDD to your DELL N5110 through optical drive bay by using HDD/SDD caddy. It will get recognized by BIOS and Windows (or other OS). However... if you are planning to boot from this HDD/SDD, it could be a problem, because we've confirmed that the newest BIOS version (most probably any BIOS version) for this computer doesn' t allow to boot from specific HDD/SDD, but from system HDD only. Probable solution would be to install a custom boot manager on the system drive, which would allow to boot from secondary drive. If you want it only as a secondary drive for storage, then we don't see any problems and you can safely order a HDD/SDD caddy for your N5110. :) FYI, last time we ordered a HDD/SSD caddy on eBay, the price (incl. shipping) was under 5 US dollars. Please make sure you order a 12.7mm version for your DELL N5110.
