Dell Latitude E5430 Laptop: First Look & Unboxing

I've owned the Latitude e-series laptops for years. A lot of people swear by the Thinkpad T and X seriss, but these older Latitudes own it. Built like tanka. My e6430 has the Nvidia graphics and Hires options. Sure it's not what I would call a gaming laptop by any stretch. But it's still nearly as powerful as my e7470, and that's saying something. Like you I am not a fan of Apple products in the modern times, this quest for thinner and lighter comes at the expensive of expandability and performance. Maybe Apple users don't care about these things but generally geeks do. Add to it they're keyboard issues, and yeah.. but anyway, nice video. I seen one for sale recently and I thought about scooping it up.

TechHarvest I agree and let's face it the newer laptops are not built like these. So, not only do users face a less rugged laptops, but many have really limited upgrade options. Especially in this price range.

Your machine has Core i3-2350M which is a second generation Sandy Bridge processor, whereas the model number and Dell's spec sheet indicates that the system is equipped with 3rd generation ivy bridge processors. I think someone swapped the processor on your unit. Great video nonetheless.

incorrect, the unit came with both the earlier half of the year they came out the Sandy then later in the year the Ivy, so it just means that Q1-Q2 or Q3-Q4

i have the same laptop but with an i5 3320m-2.6GHz 8Gb ram and 512 GB ssd the price (without ssd) was 230€ and ssd itself costs something qbout 200-250€. (my laptop was a used one ^^) Nice unboxing^^

Why not? This review helped me to buy a refurbished E5430 from MicroCenter about two years ago. I got it with Windows 10 home preloaded, 8GB memory, 320GB HD and the original Dell power brick. The screen looks brand new, the case has a metallic looking covering to hide normal wear and tear. I've had less trouble with this than new laptops. MicroCenter had this for $190.00. I buy factory refurbished items often like a Canon Vixia HF G40...saved $400 and comes with full Canon warranty. So reviews of items that are not current can be helpful to the right person.

Actully i ve the same laptop and u can play some of the games first update your graphics drivers (intel hd 4000) then try to add 4 gigs of ram more and then you r ready to play many games like gta5 on low pubg mobile fortnite farcry3

Having had a Latitude E5430 with the same CPU, while it is a solid and reliable work laptop, it won't run more demanding games from that era too well. Titles like the 1st Witcher, Assasin's Creed II or Bioshock run great, while other games like GTA IV, Mafia II or Alan Wake will only run on low details with a reduced resolution (think 1024x768).
