Disabling floppy diskette detection surprisingly worked. I don't know how, or why, but it did. Don't know if it's a permanent solution, but for now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, good sir. This crap's been making me rage for months now.

You must have a bad bios chip. You can resolder on a new bios chip of the same type.

No, it won't. You can only delete stuff from the hard drive from the operating system. Playing with the bios will enable or disable devices.

However, if you have raid settings, and you change the raid configuration, it could corrupt the hard drive settings. You have to be careful when you are playing around with the bios when you have raid settings.
